Abstract
A manufacturing method for a cast bar and tube made of a magnesium alloy, includes steps of preparing a manufacturing device; depressurizing a vacuum chamber through a depressurization device; heating a vicinity of an opening of a hollow tube; inserting the opening of the hollow tube into a molten metal; switching a valve member to be open; introducing the molten metal into a cylindrical part, and filling the cylindrical part with the molten metal; cooling the hollow tube; and continuously vibrating the hollow tube until completing solidification of the molten metal in the cylindrical part.

Abstract
A cast rod/pipe manufacturing device is provided with: a molten metal furnace (10) that holds a molten casting material; a hollow pipe (20) that has a molten metal entry part (23) which molten metal enters and that is able to be inserted into and retreated from the molten metal furnace (10); a pressure reducing unit (30) that reduces pressure; a connection member (40) that connects the hollow pipe (20) and the pressure reducing unit (30); and an openable and closable valve member (50) that is provided in the connection member (40). By reducing the pressure in the pressure reducing unit (30) side from the valve member (50) by the pressure reducing unit (30) with the valve member (50) brought into a closed state, inserting an opening (25) of the hollow pipe (20) into the molten metal furnace (10), and bringing the valve member (50) into an open state, the pressure in the molten metal entry part (23) is reduced, the molten metal enters the molten metal entry part (23), and by solidifying the molten metal that has entered in the molten metal entry part (23), a long member is manufactured. Consequently, a cast rod or cast pipe used as a material for casting, plastic working, or the like can be obtained easily in a short time at low cost.
