Abstract

Sheet product dispensers provided herein include a spindle mounted to a spindle mounting arm. A pressure plate positioned at least partially within the spindle mounting arm aligns with a roll of sheet product installed on the spindle. When the spindle mounting arm is in a dispensing state and the pressure plate is unextended, the pressure plate is configured to prevent rotation of the spindle mounting arm to a loading state, and, when the spindle mounting arm is in the dispensing state and the pressure plate is extended, the pressure plate is configured to allow transition of the spindle mounting arm to the loading state. Force from the roll of sheet product causes the pressure plate to remain unextended, and a sufficient amount of sheet product from the roll of sheet product having been depleted removes the force such that the pressure plate becomes extended.

Abstract

A fluid dispenser, such as a skincare product dispenser, comprises a dispenser housing configured to hold a reservoir of fluid for dispensing and a drive assembly for interacting with the reservoir and causing dispensing of the fluid. A fluid detection sensor is positioned within the dispenser housing proximate the reservoir and configured to detect a capacitance level therein. A controller is configured to determine, based on data from the fluid detection sensor, a change in the fluid level across a dispense. The controller is also configured to determine, based on the determined change, that the fluid level in the reservoir reaches a threshold level and cause an action, such as providing an alert, sending information to a remote server, or modifying an operating parameter.

Abstract

An example sheet product dispenser includes a dispensing mechanism operable to dispense sheet product to provide the dispensed portion within a dispensing chute. A tear bar is provided for separating the dispensed portion from a remainder of the sheet product. A shuttle is positioned between a switch and the dispensed portion. The shuttle is movable between an unactuated position and an actuated position. When the shuttle is in the unactuated position, the switch is in the unactuated configuration. The shuttle and the switch are positioned within the sheet product dispenser such that as the user pulls on the dispensed portion the shuttle moves to the actuated position so that the shuttle applies a force on the switch sufficient enough to transition the switch to an actuated configuration to indicate removal of the dispensed portion. Other example improvements include providing feedback for user inputs to a product dispenser.
