The present invention relates to a personal transporter. The transporter includes a support for supporting a driver. Three or more ground engaging devices are provided for engaging the ground during transport. An electric drive is provided for driving at least one of the ground engaging devices to propel the transporter. A handle bar is provided for enabling the driver to control at least one of the ground engaging devices to steer the transporter. Advantageously, three or more ground engaging devices provide improved stability and may carry greater loads when compared with the two wheels of a Segway.
B62D 51/02 - Motor vehicles characterised by the driver not being seated the driver standing in the vehicle
B62D 61/08 - Motor vehicles or trailers, characterised by the arrangement or number of wheels, not otherwise provided for, e.g. four wheels in diamond pattern with only three wheels with single front wheel
The present invention relates to a sign. The sign includes a polymeric portion, and photoluminescence within the portion. Advantageously, the sign provides passive illumination by virtue of the photoluminescence which is charged by a light source (e.g. a fluorescent building light) and passively discharges in the dark. The illuminated sign may be safer whereby detection in low lighting conditions, and particularly at night, is assured in the event of mains power failure to a building containing the sign.
The present invention relates to a building. The building includes a distributed power supply and a lighting system for being powered by the distributed power supply. The system includes distributed lights for being coupled to the distributed power supply. Covers are provided for covering respective lights. Photoluminescence is borne by each cover. Advantageously, the light charges the photoluminescence borne by the cover. In turn, the cover passively discharges and provides passive illumination in the dark by virtue of the photoluminescence. The building lighting system provides illumination for after-hours personnel in the building after the light is turned off, or in the event of a power disruption when a backup power generator is not present.
The present invention relates to a syringe including a barrel. The syringe includes at least one polymeric portion, in turn, including a releasable needle support portion which can be released from the barrel. Photoluminescence is provided within the polymeric portion so that the releasable needle support portion is advantageously visible at night when detached from a barrel of the syringe.
The present invention relates to a bicycle illuminator. The illuminator includes a polymeric body and photoluminescence within the body. Advantageously, the illuminator provides passive illumination by virtue of the photoluminescence which is charged by a light source (e.g. the sun, headlights, streetlights, etc.) and passively discharges in the dark.
