Abstract

A fuel regulator, such for use in a commercial boiler, can include a control valve plumbed between a source line and a feed line. The feed line can be coupled to a burner configured to burn fuel supplied thereto at a range of pressures and the source line can be coupled to a source of fuel configured to supply the fuel at a pressure higher than the range of pressures. One or more sensors can be configured to detect an operating level of the burner. One or more actuators can be configured to control the valve according to the sensor and thereby control a flame from the burner.

Abstract

A field bus solenoid valve assembly has a sensor for detecting the commencement of an actuation cycle for moving a piston in a cylinder and piston assembly. A position sensor detects an end position of a piston in a cylinder and piston assembly at the end of the actuation cycle. A timer times the elapsed time between the initiation of the actuation cycle of the piston and when the position sensor for detecting an end position detects the piston in its end position at the end of the actuation cycle. A comparator operably connected to a storage device and the sensors for comparing elapsed time from the sensors to a normalized time or profile and a predetermined tolerance boundary in the storage device. Abstract

A zoned fluid control system in a valve manifold system has a plurality of manifold blocks connected together and a plurality of control valves mounted to the manifold blocks with the control valves being electrically actuated and pilot pressure operated. The plurality of manifold blocks forms at least first and second separate pilot pressure passages of a respective first zone and second zone not connected to each other for supplying a respective first set and second set of control valves with independently controlled pilot pressure. A pilot supply valve selectively supplies pilot pressure and shuts off pilot pressure to the second pilot pressure passage without affecting the pilot pressure to the first pilot pressure passage thereby disabling the second set of control valves as a separate zone independent from the first set of control valves.

Abstract

A grounded FRL for treating a pressurized air supply has a housing with a connecting mechanism for connecting to a collector bowl. The collector bowl is made from a metal base material and has an open end with a connecting mechanism and a closed distal end. The housing has a flange that is electrically conductive and extending downwardly at an exterior of the bowl. At least one grounding clip member is made from electrically conductive material and has an exterior mounting end attached to the flange for electrical connectivity thereto and has a radially inner end that electrically makes contact with the metal base materials of the collector bowl and the housing.

Abstract

Manifold assemblies are known to incorporate manifold blocks, sandwich blocks and solenoid valves in an industrial line; and it is desirous to maintain each valve in operating condition and to replace any valve before a failure occurs so as to avoid disruption of the line. This invention relates to a solenoid valve assembly and a method for determining an operating condition of the valve assembly; said assembly comprising a valve body, a manifold member, a plurality of sensors to detect parameters for comparing said parameters during at least one actuation cycle of said solenoid valve assembly to establish a normalized cycle profile; said profile to be stored in a storage device with a predetermined tolerance boundary. The valve assembly further comprises a comparator to compare parameters from said sensors with said normalized profile and predetermined tolerance boundary and trigger an alarm if a parameter is outside the predetermined tolerance boundary.

Abstract

A pressure controlled valve having a housing with a first pressure chamber for communication to a pneumatically pressurized control source. The housing has an inlet for communication with a pneumatic supply source and outlet selectively in fluid flow with the inlet. A movable valve selectively opens and closes with respect to a valve seat for selectively opening a pathway from the inlet to the outlet and closing the pathway between the inlet and outlet. The pressure chamber may be sealingly and fluidly separated from the pathway between the inlet and the outlet. The pressure chamber provides a closing biasing force on the movable valve and a resilient spring mounted in the housing provides an opening biasing force on the movable valve.

Abstract

A dispensing valve assembly with a housing having a plurality of inlet passageways connectable at a respective upstream end to a respective supply source. Each inlet passageway is in communication with a pressure responsive valve element. The valve element is biased to abut a discharge valve seat in a closed position about an upstream end of an outlet passage. The valve element is moveable to an open position when pressure in its respective inlet passageway exceeds a predetermined value. Each outlet passage is in fluid communication with a common dispensing outlet.

Abstract

An object-oriented product configuration system generally includes a model tool for modeling a particular product line and a runtime tool for making the modeled information available to one or more external software applications. More specifically, the model tool enables a modeler to create a ProductModel object, which is an automatically populating electronic file containing all of the necessary information about a particular product line. Once the ProductModel is created, the runtime tool provides an external application with an interface for accessing and utilizing the information. Thus, a single source can deploy useful information to various types of software applications.
