Abstract

Method and system for managing and controlling feeding of at least one thread to a textile machine as a function of the machine operating step in product production or thread processing, such production or processing providing for a succession of steps corresponding to obtaining product parts or treating thread. The thread fed to the machine by a feeder at constant tension and/or speed and/or controlled by a sensor which monitors sliding or inherent characteristic thereof such as tension, speed, diameter, quantity and color. The sensor and/or feeder controlled by a setting controller. The setting controller receiving synchronization signals from the machine and detecting—according to the latter—the operating steps and thus product or production status. The operation setting programmed as a function of operating steps. The machine generates a unique synchronization signal, for each operating step, independently from step length.

Yarn feeder including a body carrying a drum on which turns of yarn from a spool are wound; a tension sensor for measuring exiting yarn tension value, a braking member including a first permanent magnet and a fixed second magnet, regulator for varying action the second magnet exerts on the first permanent magnet, and a control unit to control the regulator. The first magnet is annular and movable parallel to the axis of the drum and along it between a first position where the first permanent magnet enables pressing the yarn against a counteracting element fixed to the drum and a second position where this effect does not occur. The control unit receives tension values measured by the tension sensor, comparing them with a predetermined value and intervening in real time on the regulator to adjust tension value to predetermined value when these two values do not coincide.

Abstract

A method for supplying a thread to a textile machine without creating torsions thereof includes picking up the thread from a reel, winding it on a rotary drum driven by an electric motor thereof and supplying such thread to the textile machine, preferably at constant tension and/or quantity. The method provides for measuring the amount of thread leaving the rotary drum and the amount of thread wound thereon and intervening on the rotation of such drum so the amount of thread leaving the drum is equivalent to the amount loaded thereon to avoid the creation of torsion on the thread. A device for implementing such method is also disclosed.

Abstract

A device to enable yarn to be fed for textile applications and the relative turns to be separated. The device includes a wheel/drum directly or indirectly motorized for rotation about its axis, the wheel/drum presenting in its lateral surface a series of slits to receive relative blades the projecting profile of which enables the yarn turns wound on the wheel/drum to advance. The blades form an assembly which rotates together with the wheel/drum but about an axis having an inclination and/or an eccentricity relative to the axis of the wheel/drum, such that the profile projection of the blades from the relative slits varies gradually along the perimeter of the wheel/drum, from a minimum to a maximum, to then return to a minimum, but remains constant with time. The blades have a length to be able to receive all the yarn turns which concern the device.

Abstract

A method for feeding a yarn or thread to a processing machine, such as a textile machine, the method includes unwinding the yarn from a bobbin, bringing it into cooperation with a rotary member and then directing it to a sensor member arranged to verify its feed tension to the processing machine, with monitoring of the yarn feed velocity. The measured tension and measured velocity data being fed to a control unit which controls the yarn feed to the machine. The tension is continuously controlled by the unit to maintain it constant then, if this tension condition is verified, the velocity is controlled to render it constant, while at the same time the tension value is continuously monitored to verify whether it remains constant. This constant tension and constant velocity control of the yarn feed to the processing machine being implemented without synchronization with the machine.

Abstract

A method and device for automatically measuring the yarn length absorbed by a rectilinear machine adapted to produce an article and including a carriage movable to-and-fro over a needle bed between two ends of a working path, needles moving towards the carriage to cooperate with the yarn (F) and form an article, the yarn unwinding from a feeder with elements for measuring the yarn quantity fed at constant tension towards the needle bed. The feeder measures and constantly monitors the yarn feed velocity, this monitoring enables the fed and knitted yarn quantity to be obtained in real time and each measurement to be associated with the respective carriage travel stroke, this information enabling precise regulation of the knitting cams.

Abstract

Device and method for constant tension feeding, threads or yarns fed to textile or winding machine or metallic wire to similar machine, in discontinuously with phase sequences. The thread motion has at least first and second feeding or absorption states following each other in time. A controller, connected to a tension detector and thread accumulator, intervenes on the accumulator based upon tension value from the detector. A compensator, between the accumulator and tension detector, cooperates with thread to compensate variation of feeding or absorption state of the thread upon passage between each first and second feeding or absorption state. The controller intervenes to modify the accumulator's action on thread and maintain tension value detected by the detector at set value. Interaction between thread and compensator keeping constant tension value during the changing phase of the feeding state. The compensator freely moveable under action of thread relative to a resting position.

Abstract

A system for controlling the feed of a yarn to a textile machine or a metal wire to a coil winder. The yarn or wire unwinds from its spool and cooperates with a rotary member associated with its own rotation actuator before being directed to the machine. The yarn or wire has a characteristic value of tension and/or speed and/or quantity during this feed, and the actuator has a stator and a rotor acting on an exit drive shaft, which has its own piloting arrangement. The rotary member about which the yarn or wire winds is keyed onto the exit drive shaft. This control system measures the angular position of the drive shaft and compares an instantaneous parameter of that angular position to a prefixed characteristic value of the yarn or wire Command signals are then fed to the actuator's piloting arrangement to conform the instantaneous parameter with this prefixed value.

Abstract

A method for feeding a plurality of yarns with constant values of fed length to a textile machine, each yarn unwinding from a spool and cooperating with a feed device, arranged to maintain the tension of the yarn at a predefined constant value before being directed to the textile machine. At least one control unit controls the feed to this machine such that an absorbed yarn length value to be maintained for each yarn fed to the textile machine is set or self-learnt. After measuring an actual value of the yarn length absorbed by this machine and comparing it with this predefined value, the control unit acts upon one or more feed devices and modifies the tension value of the corresponding yarn in order to make these absorbed yarn length values equal to the predefined value. A method for implementing this method is also claimed.
