A method of assembling and testing a consumer product by sealing a liner around a body of a valve. A fluid dispensing assembly is formed by sealing the liner and at least a portion of the valve within a container. The container is pressurized. The liner is filled with a liquid. A heat source is applied to the fluid dispensing assembly. The fluid dispensing assembly is cooled by removing the fluid dispensing assembly from the heat source. The temperature of the fluid dispensing assembly is measured after the removing the heat source. The temperature of the fluid dispensing assembly is compared to a predetermined temperature.
A method of forming an absorbent core is presented. The method includes advancing a first substrate layer in a machine direction, the first substrate layer forming a first side of the absorbent core. The method further includes feeding a first stream of absorbent material comprising superabsorbent particles and thermoplastic filaments toward the first substrate layer and depositing the first stream of absorbent material onto the first substrate layer through at least one discharge nozzle, wherein the at least one discharge nozzle is configured to rotate about an axis orthogonal to the machine direction, and wherein the deposited first stream of absorbent material forms a first absorbent material layer. Containers made with a fiber-based material layer and a polymeric coating disposed on at least some portions of the fiber-based material layer. The polymeric coating material(s) can have and/or exhibit preferred physical properties, melt flow properties, and/or end use benefit properties. For example, the containers comprising preferred polymeric coating materials have an Environmental Stress Crack Resistance sufficient to enable the containers to store liquid detergent compositions for multiple months with minimal to no leakage.
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for stretching, transferring, and bonding elastic parts under tension to an advancing carrier substrate during the assembly of absorbent articles. A continuous carrier substrate may be advanced in a machine direction at a first speed, and a discrete elastic part may be cut from a continuous elastic substrate having a direction of stretch in a cross direction. The speed of the discrete elastic part is changed from a second speed to the first speed, and the central region of the discrete elastic part is stretched in the cross direction. The discrete elastic part is bonded with the continuous carrier substrate such that the stretched central region extends in the cross direction between the first and second longitudinal edges of the continuous carrier substrate.
