Abstract

A water supply system (10), comprising a main water tank (110) which has a hollow structure with a first cavity provided therein, the main water tank (110) being provided with a vent hole (111) which is embedded with a one-way air permeable portion (112), the one-way air permeable portion (112) providing a unidirectional communication in a direction from the outside of the main water tank (110) to the first cavity. According to the solution, by embedding a one-way air-permeable portion (112) in the vent hole (111) of the main water tank (110), external air can enter the first cavity smoothly when the water level in the main water tank (110) drops, in order to avoid an imbalance between the air pressure in the first cavity and the air pressure outside the main water tank (110) from deforming the main water tank (110).

Abstract

The invention provides an autonomous surface treatment vehicle, e.g. a floor cleaner, with an autonomy system navigating according to a map, a scanning sensor to detect a position of an obstacle within a scanning zone and generate a detection signal. A safety system is arranged to generate a safety stop in case the detection signal indicates an obstacle within a safety zone. The safety system can enter a special mode of operation, e.g. upon request from the autonomy system, where a special safety zone selection algorithm selects the safety zone e.g. from a special set of pre-determined safety zones. Especially, such special mode can provide safety zones with a relaxed speed limit in combination with a restricted direction limit, so as to provide a faster driving near a wall or similar known obstacle.

Abstract

Method for operating a dirt collecting device for a sweeping vehicle or for a vacuum cleaner nozzle of a floor or upright vacuum cleaner, which each comprise a suction fan with controllable speed and/or power, wherein in a first method step, the suction power of the suction fan is set at such a low level that the suction pressure in the dirt collecting device or the vacuum cleaner nozzle is merely sufficient to convey and deposit the absorbed coarse dirt into the intermediate container, and to convey the absorbed fine dirt into a downstream collection container, (normal operation); and that in a second method step, the filling level in the intermediate container is detected with respect to the coarse dirt deposited therein; and that in a third method step, if the filling level in the intermediate container is exceeded, the suction power of the suction fan is increased such that the coarse dirt, which is temporarily deposited in the intermediate container, becomes dispersible and is conveyed into the downstream collection container (emptying mode).

Abstract

A method for collecting garbage from a surface includes providing a motor-sweeper including a sweep broom. A rear guide is provided between the sweep broom and the collecting container extending downwards from the collecting container close to the sweep broom. The sweep broom rests with the guide assembly onto the surface, and the sweep broom is rotated in order to collect and convey the garbage into the collecting container. The rotation of the sweep broom causes the garbage to be swept forwardly and upwardly with respect to the forward motion of the motor-sweeper. In response to the bristles of the sweep broom wearing, the sweep broom is moved toward the surface and the guide assembly and the rear guide are moved towards the sweep broom so as to maintain uniform spaces between the sweep broom and the guide assembly, and the sweep broom and the rear guide.

Abstract

An articulated drive utility vehicle for outdoor use. The vehicle has a front part with driver controls, and a rear part with a casing for housing a propulsion motor of the vehicle. A motorized rotor fan with a plurality of blades is arranged within the casing, and wherein the fan is positioned so as to provide flow of air through a liquid radiator from an inlet to an outlet via at least an airtight part of the casing. In this way, the casing serves to provide part of the air flow path, and the fan and radiator can be spatially separated. Hereby, it is possible to reduce air flow speed and still provide effective cooling of the radiator. Especially, the radiator can be placed at a front part of the casing, while the fan can be placed at a rear part of the casing. However, a large variety of configurations of the fan and radiator relative to the casing are possible.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a motor-sweeper for cleaning large surfaces such as streets or industrial facilities. In particular it refers to an apparatus for collecting garbage and debris from the ground to apply to a motor-sweeper, wherein the broom for collecting garbage always remains adherent to the ground and the space between the garbage conveyor assembly toward the collecting container and the broom, and between the broom and the container remains uniform despite the wear of the brooms. Thus, the cleaning capability is not lost and the machine efficiency is improved.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating a dirt collecting device (2) for a sweeping vehicle (1) or for a vacuum cleaner nozzle (60) of a floor or an upright vacuum cleaner, which each comprise a suction fan (8) that has a controllable speed and/or power, wherein in a first method step the suction power of the suction fan (8) is set at such a low level that the suction pressure in the dirt collecting device (2) or the vacuum cleaner nozzle (60) is just sufficient to convey the absorbed coarse dirt (17) into the intermediate container (10, 70) and deposit it there as well as to convey the absorbed fine dirt (18) into a collection container (4, 6) arranged downstream thereof (normal operation). In a second method step, the filling level in the intermediate container (10, 70) with respect to the coarse dirt (17) deposited therein is detected and in a third method step, if the filling level in the intermediate container (10, 70) is exceeded, the suction power of the suction fan (8) is increased in such a manner that the coarse dirt (17), which is temporarily deposited in the intermediate container (10, 70), is dispersible and conveyed into the collection container (4, 6) arranged downstream thereof (emptying mode).

Abstract

A high pressure cleaner with adjustable flow and/or pressure. A controller (CTL) serves to receive a wireless control signal (WCS) from a remote control unit (RCU), e.g. integrated in the spray handle (SH), in response to an input from a user. The controller (CTL) controls the high pressure module (HPM), e.g. electric power to its electric motor, so as to adjust a flow and/or pressure level at the liquid output (L_O) of the high pressure module (HPM) in accordance with the wireless control signal (WCS), between a plurality of different flow and/or pressure levels in an active state of the high pressure module (HPM). Further, the controller may be arranged to switch off electric power to the motor of the high pressure module (HPM) and/or activate a safety valve in response to a wireless control signal (WCS). The user interface (U_I) that allows the user to enter the desired flow and/or pressure level, may further visualize the flow and/or pressure level to the user.

Abstract

The invention relates to a cleaning machine (1) comprising a housing (10) and at least one hingeable element (20), as well as to the hingeable element (20) itself. The hingeable element (20) is detachably attachable to said housing via a hinge structure comprising at least two pairs of magnetizable or magnetic member surfaces (H1, E1; H2, E2). At least one surface in each pair exhibits a magnetic force for engagement with the other surface in said pair. A first member surface (E1; E2) in each of said pairs is supported by said hingeable element (20) and a second member surface (H1; H2) in each of said pairs is supported by said housing (10). When said hingeable element (20) is attached to said housing (10), said magnetic force is extending in a direction substantially in parallel with a magnetic centre axis (Am) extending between each first member surface (E1; E2). This provides a sufficient attachment force in the hinge structure both to allow the hingeable element (20) to stay attached to the housing during use, as well as to allow the hingeable element (20) to become detached easily from the housing (10), thus to function as a "break away".
