The peeling section comprises at least two elongated peeling elements (11) each extending along a respective longitudinal axis and being rotatable about the respective longitudinal axis and at least one elongated pushing element (12) arranged at a distance from the elongated peeling elements. An egg contact surface (121, 127) of the elongated pushing element (12) is angled in relation to egg contact surfaces (111) of the elongated peeling elements (11) so that the distance between the egg contact surfaces is bigger at the egg inlet (601) than at the egg outlet (602). A method for peeling eggs is also disclosed.

Abstract

In the method eggs are fed to a plurality of egg breaking devices (10) mounted on a egg breaking conveyor (5) by a shell egg in-feed conveyor, each egg breaking device receiving one egg at a time. The adjustment is preferably performed automatically by a control unit using input from encoders on one or more drive motors, which are preferably servo motors.
