Abstract

Provided is a filtration device enabling more efficient treatment of foreign matter included in a liquid discharged from a machine tool. A filtration device as in one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a tank unit having a first tank into which a liquid containing foreign matter flows; and a pump that is provided to a middle part of the first tank and discharges the liquid that has collected in the first tank. The first tank comprises: a bottom surface; four side surfaces connected to the bottom surface; four corners at which the bottom surface and two side surfaces out of the four side surfaces are respectively connected; and four inclined surfaces for respectively covering the four corners. The four inclined surfaces are inclined so as to draw closer to the bottom surface going toward the middle part from a connecting part where the two side surfaces are connected. The liquid flowing into the first tank causes a vortex to occur inside the first tank, gathering the foreign matter at the middle part of the first tank, and the foreign matter is then discharged by the pump.

Abstract

A filtering device (10) is provided with a filtering tank (11), a filtration element unit (12), a magnet (19), and a submerged air-discharging mechanism (50).  The filtration element unit (12) has a large number of magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) which are metal spheres.  When the magnet (19) is at a first position, the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) are attracted to each other.  When the magnet (19) moves to a second position, the magnetic attraction between the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) is cancelled.  To clean the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31), a cleaning liquid (Q2) located above the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) is dropped through between the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31).  In the cleaning of the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31), the submerged air-discharging mechanism (50) discharges air (57) into the cleaning liquid (Q2), which is located above the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31), toward the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31).  The cleaning liquid (Q2), located above the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31), is urged toward the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) and air bubbles are mixed in the cleaning liquid (Q2).  The cleaning liquid (Q2) flows from above downward between the magnetic-grain filtration elements (31) to clean the elements (31).

Abstract

A filtration device is provided with a filter tank, filter media unit, and magnet. The filter media unit includes a filter media accommodation case and a large number of magnetic granular filter media. The magnet is movable between first and second positions. In the first position, a magnetic field is applied to the magnetic granular filter media, so that the magnetic granular filter media magnetically attract one another. In the second position, magnetic attraction between the magnetic granular filter media is canceled. The filter media accommodation case includes a nonmagnetic mesh member of a nonmagnetic material and magnetism intensification plate of a magnetic material. When the magnet is in the first position, the magnetic granular filter media and nonmagnetic mesh member are located between the magnetism intensification plate and the magnet.

Abstract

The magnet drum mechanism (3) of a magnet separator (1) comprises a tubular drum (25), a magnet (26) which is arranged on the inside of the drum (25) and fixed to a separator body (2) so as not to rotate with respect to the rotating drum (25) and forms a magnetic field region (41) in a fixed range in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential surface (25a) of the drum (25), the magnetic field region (41) being capable of attracting magnetic particles, and a scratch board (23) arranged in the nonmagnetic field region (42) of the drum (25) and leading the magnetic particles adhering to the outer circumferential surface (25a) of the drum (25) to the outside of the separator body (2) in the nonmagnetic field region (42). The scratch board (23) has a tip (61) facing the outer circumferential surface (25a) of the drum (25) in a contactless manner along the axial direction of the drum (25), and a small gap (S) is formed between the tip (61) and the outer circumferential surface (25a) of the drum (25).

Abstract

A contaminated fluid recovery apparatus includes a dirty tank, a conveyor, and a drum-shaped filter unit. Inlet ports of the drum-shaped filter unit open along an axis of a magnet drum. The conveyor scrapes out an object for removal settled on a bottom portion of the dirty tank toward an exit section. The conveyor includes a lower portion which moves along the bottom portion and an upper portion which passes over the lower portion. The magnet drum is located horizontally between the lower portion and the upper portion of the conveyor so that its axis is perpendicular to a direction of travel of the conveyor. The magnet drum is driven by a chain of the conveyor.

Abstract

A filtration device (10) has a filtration tank (11), a filtration material unit (12), and a magnet (19). The filtration material unit (12) includes a filtration material receiving case (30) and a large number of magnetic particle filtration materials (31). The magnet (19) moves between a first position and a second position. At the first position, the magnetic field acts on the magnetic particle filtration materials (31) to cause them to magnetically attract each other. At the second position, the magnetic attraction between the magnetic particle filtration materials (31) is cancelled. The filtration material receiving case (30) includes non-magnetic mesh members (35, 36) made from a non-magnetic material and also includes a magnetic force intensifying plate (40) made from a magnetic material. When the magnet (19) is at the first position, magnetic particle filtration materials (31) and the non-magnetic mesh members (35, 36) are located between the magnetic force intensifying plate (40) and the magnet (19).
