Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to container systems comprising a container, a container ring, and a container lid. In one or more embodiments, the disclosed container systems use novel designs to provide a liquid-tight seal without the use of gaskets or adhesives. For example, in several embodiments, the container attaches to the container ring, and the container ring attaches to the container lid via a snap-fit assembly to facilitate reduced seams and increased sealing capability without the use of adhesives or additional sealing materials or components.

Abstract

An exemplary tamper evident tub is disclosed. In various embodiments, the exemplary tub includes one or more breakable tabs in near proximity to a lid latching assembly. The one or more breakable tabs, in particular embodiments, prevent access to one or more lift tabs and latches, while the tamper evident tub lid is in a closed position. In various embodiments, the one or more lift tabs and latches are operable to allow for the lid to be opened from a closed position. In some embodiments, removing the breakable tabs allows access to the one or more lift tabs and latches, and further indicates that the exemplary tub has been tampered with.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids include an improved seal structure that forms a liquid-tight seal. For example, in certain embodiments, the improved seal structure is included on a built-in ring around the rim of the container. In some embodiments, the improved seal structure is included on a separate container ring for attaching to a container. In these embodiments, the contents of the container may be poured out of the container such that virtually no excess content is trapped in-between seams.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids provide a liquid-tight seal with the inclusion of a separately attached ring that generally eliminates material-trapping seams. For example, in certain embodiments, a container and a container ring for attaching to the rim of the container is disclosed. In these embodiments, the container ring attaches to the rim of the container such that a liquid-tight vertical seal is formed, thereby reducing or eliminating material-trapping seams.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to containers. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers include a nestable structure that can facilitate stacking while limiting reliance on satellite rings. For example, in certain embodiments, a container includes a nestable corner structure with a series of nestable portions. Thus, in these embodiments, more containers can be stacked together in a smaller space, such that shipping and manufacturing processes are more efficient and less costly than with traditional containers.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to containers and container lids. In at least one embodiment, the disclosed containers and container lids provide a liquid-tight seal without the use of gaskets, and can facilitate full submersion of solid items when the container is filled with liquid. For example, in certain embodiments, a container lid includes a brine disc panel with alternating hatched patterns of downward protruding ridges. Thus, in these embodiments, liquids within the container can pass between the protruding ridges (e.g., with the protruding ridges extending downwardly into the liquid) and the protruding ridges may keep solids that tend to float in the liquid below a surface of the liquid.

Abstract

An exemplary container lid with a castellated cork seal is disclosed. In various embodiments, the castellated cork seal includes a plurality undulating u-shaped ridges that form peaks and troughs throughout a channel. The undulating u-shaped ridges throughout the channel may provide a surface for receiving a bottom of a separate container in a stacked configuration. In certain embodiments, when the lid is secured on top of a container, the u-shaped ridges protrude downwardly into the container for providing cantilevered support. In particular embodiments, the exemplary container lid includes detachable tear strips along a side wall of the container lid. Removing the tear strips allows access to one or more lift tabs for applying upward leverage to the exemplary container lid for removing the lid from a container.

Abstract

A container and lid assembly is described for storing or transporting contents therein. Embodiments provide a protective security feature in the container and lid assembly. In at least some aspects of the invention a container body is disclosed having an opening, and a lid body is configured to cover the opening of the container body to form an assembly. An extended bumper portion is disposed at a periphery of the container body and substantially at the opening, wherein the bumper portion comprises a removable tear strip integrated into the material of the bumper portion. The tear strip is configured to prevent access to security mechanism of the assembly.

Abstract

A multi-piece interconnected body for use in at least structural support and/or in creating internal cavities for an improved strength-to-weight ratio in a variety of structures is nestable prior to its assembly and use. When assembled, the device preferably forms a generally spherical and hollow body, with (1) one or more ribs or similar structural support network associated with and/or integrally formed in the body; (2) at least one latch mechanism to help hold the pieces in a desired assembled relationship with each other; and (3) a hinge or other interconnecting element that facilitates nesting and/or stacking of a plurality of the bodies with each other prior to assembly, association of the multiple parts of each body with each other prior to assembly, and ready repositioning of those parts into a desired assembled position.

Abstract

Apparatus and methods for designing, manufacturing, and using containers provides improved strength-to-material and/or strength-to-weight ratios, thereby reducing the raw materials and other costs needed to fulfill a given application or serve a given purpose. A web pattern 30 is formed integrally within a container sidewall 12/14. For cornered embodiments, the strengthening web is integrated through at least one corner 20. For manufacturing processes such as injection molding, feeder paths (or flow leader paths) 18 facilitate injection with less energy requirements. Abstract

A multi-piece interconnected body for use in at least structural support and/or in creating internal cavities for an improved strength-to- weight ratio in a variety of structures is nestable prior to its assembly and use.
