MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING WITH PERFORATION OF THE CONTAINER
A system for the sealing of containers, which is provided with a lower mould of a sealing station, an upper mould of a sealing station where the sealing plate is located, where one or more perforation needles perforate the containers and this perforation makes the generation of vacuum and injection of gas possible, with subsequent sealing of the container.

B65B 31/08 - Evacuating, pressurising or gasifying filled containers or wrappers by means of nozzles through which air or other gas, e.g. an inert gas, is withdrawn or supplied the nozzle being adapted to pierce the container or wrapper
A system for the sealing of containers, the frame (1) of which incorporates a moving gripper (14) that transfers the film web to under the cutting assembly (11) and, accordingly, above the shuttle (12). The film web is cut into pieces, during transfer, by means of a fixed longitudinal blade (10) that cuts the film web in the middle by means of a cut parallel to the direction of movement of containers. So, the film is positioned on the moving plates (13), the size of which corresponds to the size of containers to be sealed. Vacuum is generated on their surface by means of a suitable vacuum pump in order for the film to perfectly adhere to the moving plates (13). The subsequent operation of the cutting assembly (11) makes it possible to cut the film perpendicularly to the direction of movement of the containers and the film, and to create pieces of film cut to the desired size corresponding to the size of every container to be sealed.

This invention regards trays or containers made from thermoplastic material for food packaging. Some trays or containers have partitions that divide them into two, three or more compartments on the same level, to hold different products, but they are all sealed with the same sealing film. This invention aims at obviating the above limits and issues, with an innovative method of packaging and sealing several different or identical food products. This invention is intended to meet the requirement of packaging several products in the same container or tray, without coming into contact with one another during shelf-life or, different portions of the same product that can be opened and used in sequence and at different times.
