Abstract
A multi-cable transit may include a plurality of modules disposed within the frame assembly; each of the plurality of modules comprising: an upper housing, a lower housing disposed opposite the upper housing; and a plurality of upper layers and a plurality of lower layers disposed between the upper housing and the lower housing; and a compression wedge unit connected between the frame assembly and the plurality of modules, wherein expansion of the compression wedge unit compresses the plurality of modules within the frame assembly to form a gas-tight seal within the plurality of modules. A single cable transit may include a pair of component halves, each of the pair of component halves comprising: a u-shaped body having a curved outer surface and contoured inner surface; a plurality of interlocking layers; and a compression member configured to axially compress the u-shaped body.

Abstract

Abstract
A cable gland (2300) and methods for grounding a cable. The cable gland (2300) comprises a gland body (2302), a plurality of extensions (2334), an elastomer seal (2320), a compression member (2314) configured to rotate the plurality of extensions (2334) towards the elastomer seal (2320), and an earthing insert (4104) mounted in the gland body (2302) configured to electrically connect a cable to a neutral and/or grounded conductor. The cable gland (2300) is configured to provide an air-tight seal between the exterior of the cable and the elastomer seal (2320) through rotation of the plurality of extension (2334) upon the elastomer seal (2320). The cable gland (2300) may include an o-ring (2322) and nut (2312) to secure the cable gland (2300) to a planar body. The earthing insert (4104) comprises a grounding spring (4109) in electrical communication with a metallic portion of the cable and a neutral and/or grounded conductor.
