Abstract

The invention comprises a sealing and cover strip (8) for the B-pillar (7) of a passenger vehicle (1) comprising a support cover (10) and a decorative cover (9), each of which has a sealing half of a sealing profile for a lowerable side window on at least one of their common longitudinal sides. The present invention improves a sealing and cover strip (8) in such a way that the assembly effort during production of the vehicle is reduced and the optical appearance is improved. This follows from the fact that each sealing profile (11, 12) comprises two sealing halves (13, 14 and 13′, 14′), respective halves (13, 13′) being integral with the decorative cover (9), and respective halves (14, 14′) being integral with the support cover (10).

Abstract

The invention relates to a sealing and cover strip (8) for the B pillar (7) of a passenger vehicle, with a support cover (10) and a decorative cover (9), which covers, on at least one of their common longitudinal sides, have a sealing profile (11, 12) for a lowerable side window (4, 5). The problem addressed by the present invention is that of improving a sealing and cover strip (8) of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a manner that the outlay on assembly during production of the vehicle is reduced and also the visual appearance is improved, and therefore the sealing profile consists of two sealing halves (13, 13', 14, 14'), wherein one half (13, 13') in each case is connected to the decorative cover (9) and the other half (14, 14') in each case is connected to the support cover (10).

Abstract

The invention relates to a window frame for a window of a passenger vehicle (1), with at least one seal which comprises one or more sealing profiles (10, 10', 10'') , and with a plastics support profile (8, 12) interacting with the seal, and also with a decorative cover (9, 13) which covers the support profile and has a metallic visible surface (11). The problem addressed by the present invention is therefore to provide a window frame of the type mentioned at the beginning, which can be produced more simply while retaining the aforementioned advantages, and therefore the decorative cover (9, 13) is also designed as a plastics injection-moulded part, wherein the visible surface (11) of the decorative cover is galvanized.

Abstract

The invention relates to a windshield frame (7, 8, 8') for a windshield (4, 5, 6, 5', 6') of a passenger car, comprising at least one seal which has one or more sealing profiles (17.1, 17.2, 17.3, 17.4, 18.1, 18.4) that abut one another at seams in the longitudinal extension of the seal, and comprising a fastening profile interacting with the seal, said profile comprising one or more fastening profile pieces (13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4) that abut one another on at least one seam in the longitudinal extension of the fastening profile, and wherein a metal ornamental moulding (9, 10, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3) is attached on the fastening profile pieces (13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4). The aim of the invention is to create a windshield enclosure which has consistent or improved sealing action and creates a visually appealing overall impression of the passenger car. To this end, the fastening profile piece or pieces (13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4) comprise a moulding flange (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4) and at least one fastening element (15.1, 15.2, 15.3, 15.4) for fastening the fastening profile to the passenger car, and the ornamental moulding (9, 10) is crimped on the moulding flange (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4) of the fastening profile piece or pieces (13.1, 13.2, 13.3, 13.4) such that it covers the seam in one piece. The invention furthermore relates to a method for producing such a windshield enclosure.

Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle having at least one tailgate attached to the vehicle by means of a suspension. Existing door opening mechanisms should be improved, particularly to reduce the space required in the direction of the closed door; that is, in front of or behind the door in the closed position. To this end, the invention provides for the vehicle to comprise at least one tailgate defining a door plane, said tailgate being attached to the vehicle chassis in a jointed fashion by means of at least one multiple hinge having at least three pivot axes offset from one another and at least two paired pivotally connected hinge arms, of which a first hinge arm is pivotally connected to the vehicle chassis and a second hinge arm is pivotally connected to the tailgate, the multiple hinge being associated with a drivetrain controlling the hinge motion of the hinge arms in the pivot axes, the door plane being moved along a predetermined motion path when the tailgate travels from a closed position, in which the tailgate spans a closed plane, to an open position, in which the tailgate spans an opening plane, the motion path of the door plane comprising rotary and translational components, and the closed plane forming an angle to the opening plane in the range from 70° to 110°, preferably about 90°.
