The present disclosure provides a bioreactor for cell culturing. The bioreactor comprises a container comprising a base and a side wall defining an internal volume for holding a cell suspension. The container is rotatable during use about a rotational axis. The bioreactor also includes a sensor element disposed on an internal surface of the container for interaction with a sensor receiver positioned externally of the container and operable to interact with the sensor element to detect a characteristic of the cell suspension. The sensor element is offset from the rotational axis of the bioreactor and arranged to align with the sensor receiver in at least two rotational positions of the bioreactor during use.

SAMPLING CONSUMABLE FOR SAMPLING A FLUID FROM A BIOREACTOR
The present application provides a sampling consumable (5d) for sampling a fluid from a bioreactor. The sampling consumable comprising a vial (22) for receiving a fluid sample, the vial having an inlet (27). The sampling consumable also comprises a plunger (24) disposed within the vial and operable to draw the fluid sample into the vial. The sampling consumable also comprises a connector (19) proximal to the inlet, the connector being attachable to the bioreactor such that operation of the plunger draws the fluid dose from the bioreactor into the vial.

The compressible wall element (6) extends from the base section (7) in an axial direction and defines an internal volume of the cell culture container (2). The compressible wall element (6) is compressible in the axial direction. The base section (7) comprises a substantially planar rigid base plate (12). The present application provides a delivery consumable (5a) for delivering a fluid to a bioreactor. The delivery consumable comprises a container having a collapsible portion (22) comprising a collapsible wall (23), and an intermediate portion (24) connected to the collapsible portion and being adapted to hold a fluid. The deliver consumable also comprises a connector (19) for connecting the intermediate portion to the bioreactor. During use the collapsible portion is collapsible so as to urge the fluid through the connector and into the bioreactor.
The present invention provides a bioreactor (100) for cell processing. The bioreactor (100) comprises a container (110) having a base section (102) comprising a transparent or translucent sensor window (103), a top section (101) arranged opposite to the base section (102) and comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and a sidewall (105) extending between the base section (102) and the top section (101) and defining an internal volume of the container adapted to hold a cell suspension. The present application provides a fluid delivery consumable (5b) for delivering a fluid dose to a bioreactor. The fluid delivery consumable comprising a vial (22) for holding the fluid dose, the vial having an outlet (27) and an open end (26) opposite to the outlet, a plunger (24) engaged with the open end and operable to urge the fluid dose towards the outlet, and a connector (19) proximal to the outlet, the connector being attachable to the bioreactor such that operation of the plunger moves the fluid dose from the vial to the bioreactor.
