Abstract

An apparatus and method for producing bubbles. The apparatus may include a motor, a fan device operably coupled to the motor to generate an air stream, and a bubble generating assembly operably coupled to the fan device so as to be rotated. The apparatus may also include a bubble solution dispenser for dispensing bubble solution onto bubble generating devices of the bubble generating assembly. Furthermore, a support member may be provided for supporting a container of the bubble solution. The support member may be altered into a dispensing position whereby the bubble solution can be dispensed from the container into the bubble solution dispenser. When the support member is in the dispensing position, a switch that activates the motor may be actuated into a closed state. The support member may include an actuation member that engages the switch when in the dispensing position.

A bubble generating device and a method for producing bubbles. In one aspect, the invention can be an apparatus for generating bubbles comprising: a housing; a motor; an air flow generator operably coupled to the motor; a trough containing a bubble solution; a cam surface comprising a raised portion and a valley portion; a follower member comprising a bubble generating device, the follower member in operable cooperation with the cam surface; the motor operably coupled to the follower member to drive the follower member along the cam surface such that: (1) upon the follower member being located along the valley portion of the cam surface, the bubble generating device is in the trough; and (2) upon the follower member being located along the raised portion of the cam surface, the bubble generating device is aligned with an air flow generated by the air flow generator for producing bubbles.

Abstract

A bubble generating apparatus includes an air flow generator, a liquid tray defined by a floor and sidewalls and having one or more bubble forming ports therein, and a pivot arm coupled to a motor for pivoting the pivot arm about an axis so that during pivoting a bubble generating member of the pivot arm passes over one of the bubble forming ports, the air flow generator positioned to direct an air stream through the one or more bubble forming ports, and a gravity feed liquid reservoir, wherein the liquid tray is configured to generate bubbles from the liquid when the air flow generator directs the air stream through the one or more bubble forming ports while the pivot arm pivots about the axis.
