Abstract

To provide textile fabrics with a flame-retardant finishing, a polycondensation product which comprises repeating units I and (IIa and/or IIb) and has a mean molar mass in the range of 400-5000 g/mol, formulae (I), (IIa), (IIb), where each R12232233; each R222322322-; wherein the molar ratio of I to the sum of IIa and IIb lies in the range from 1.4 to 0.9 up to 0.9 to 1.4, is applied to the textile fabric; and the polycondensation product is cross-linked on the textile fabric.
