Abstract

The invention relates to a secure element as a transaction unit of a transaction system having a token reference register, to a procedure in the token reference register, and to the token reference register. The secure element comprises a token store for tokens of the transaction system and is designed as a transaction unit for exchanging tokens of the transaction system directly with another transaction unit of the transaction system. Each token (T) of the transaction system (TS) is unambiguously assigned a token reference (TR) which can be registered in a token reference register (TRR) of the transaction system (TS). The secure element is designed in order, starting from at least one input token, to produce at least one output token and an output token reference (TRA) thereof. The secure element provides a modification detail, with an input token reference (TRE), a command (KO) and an output token reference (TRA), for the token reference register (TRR). In the present case, the secure element provides the at least one modification detail (MA) as a validity enquiry (GA). It is also designed to receive a validity confirmation (GB) for at least one output token reference, to be checked for validity, of the validity enquiry (GA).

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for securely generating a token which can be issued by means of a token issuer of an electronic transaction system comprising a token reference register. The invention also relates to a method for securely destroying a token of an electronic transaction system comprising a token reference register and to a token issuer. In a token issuer unit which comprises a secure token generating unit, the following steps are carried out: a token-individual token element pair is generated which comprises a secret token element and a public token reference element; an addition command is generated which instructs the token reference register to add a token reference which comprises the generated public token reference element into the token reference register as an additional token reference; and the addition command is transmitted to the token reference register. Presently the generated token element pair is an internal temporary token element pair of the token generating unit. The token generating unit receives a token reference of the token which can be issued and generates a replacement command which instructs the token reference register to register the token reference of the token which can be issued in place of the token reference of the temporary token element pair.

Abstract

A first security element is for transmitting an electronic coin data set to a second security element. The electronic coin data set is registered in a coin register of a payment system. The method has the steps of: setting a status of the electronic coin data set from the security element to an inactive status; transmitting the electronic coin data set from the first security element to the second security element; checking whether a receipt confirmation from the second security element has been received in the first security element; and deleting the transmitted electronic coin data set if the checking step results in that the receipt confirmation has been obtained by the first security element. The aforementioned relates to a payment system, a coin register, a security element, and a terminal for transmitting electronic coin data sets.

Abstract

A method relates to a terminal for managing electronic coin datasets and to a corresponding terminal. The electronic coin datasets are output by a central issuer entity, wherein each electronic coin dataset has a test value, and the test value is incremented when the electronic coin dataset is directly transmitted between two terminals or the test value is invariant in the event of an action carried out by terminals on the electronic coin dataset. In the method, it is determined whether the electronic coin dataset is displayed by the terminal in the payment system or whether the electronic coin dataset is returned to the central issuer entity. A method in a payment system is provided for managing electronic coin datasets, to a corresponding payment system, and to a monitoring entity.

Abstract

The invention relates to a secure element acting as a transaction unit, and to a method for registering tokens of an electronic transaction system which comprises in particular the secure element acting as a transaction unit and a token reference register. Each token of the transaction system has at least one token value and one private part of a token-individual key pair acting as token elements. The method comprises the following method steps: receiving, in a token reference register of the transaction system, a registration request from a sequence of registration requests, each registration request of the sequence having at least one token reference; using a verification unit of the token reference register to verify whether the at least one token reference contained in the received registration request can be uniquely assigned to a token of the transaction system; storing the at least one token reference in a memory unit of the token reference register in order to register the token uniquely assigned to this token reference in the transaction system if it is established in the verification step that the at least one token reference of the received register request can be uniquely assigned to a token of the transaction system and if the token reference is not yet stored in the token reference register. In the receiving step, the registration requests are received in the token reference register as a sequence of registration requests. In the verification and storage steps, the registration requests are processed in the token reference register as a sequence of registration requests.

Abstract

The invention relates to a secure element, to a token reference register and to a method for registering tokens of an electronic transaction system, wherein each token of the transaction system comprises at least a token value and a private part of a token-individual key pair as token elements. The method comprises the method steps of: receiving, in a token reference register of the transaction system, a registration request comprising at least one token reference uniquely assigned to a token of the transaction system, wherein the token reference comprises at least the token value of the token and a public part of the token-individual key pair as token reference elements, wherein the public part of the token-individual key pair was obtained by applying a cryptographic one-way function to the private part of the token-individual key pair of the token, verifying, using a verification unit of the token reference register, whether the at least one token reference of the received registration request is stored in the token reference register, and storing the at least one token reference in a memory unit of the token reference register in order to register the token uniquely assigned to this token reference in the transaction system if it is established in the verification step that the at least one token reference of the received registration request is not stored in the token reference register.

Abstract

The invention relates to a card, in particular a chip card, including a computing unit for managing electronic coin data records, the electronic coin data records being issued by a central entity, and a card body with visible data and at least one visible feature. The central entity is at the same time the issuer or administrator of a series of banknotes and the at least one visible feature identifies the card as part of the series of banknotes to an observer. In addition, a method for producing such a card is also proposed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method (400) for registering (104) an electronic coin data set (C) in a coin register (2) of an electronic payment system (BZ), said method comprising the steps of: generating (405) an electronic coin data set (Cj), which has a monetary value (vj) and an obfuscation value (rj), by means of a first subscriber unit (TE1) of the payment system (BZ), said monetary value (vj) of the generated electronic coin data set (Cj) corresponding to the monetary value (m) of an electronic coin data set (Ci) present in the first subscriber unit (TE1); masking (406) the generated electronic coin data set (Cj) by means of the first subscriber unit (TE1) by applying a one-way function (f(C)) to at least one data element of the electronic coin data set (Cj) in order to obtain a masked generated electronic coin data set (Zj); transmitting a registration request (407) for the masked generated electronic coin data set (Zj) together with a timelock from the first subscriber unit (TE1) to the coin register (2), wherein the timelock specifies a period of time (T2) until the generated electronic coin data set (Cj) can be switched over to a second subscriber unit (TE2) of the payment system (BZ) in the coin register (2). The invention additionally relates to a coin register (2), a payment system (BZ), a subscriber unit (TE), and a computer program product.

Abstract

A method for directly transmitting an electronic coin data record between first and second terminals, with the following steps carried out by the second terminal: receiving the electronic coin data record from the first terminal, wherein the at least one electronic coin data record includes a monetary amount and a concealment amount; generating a modified electronic coin data record using the received electronic coin data record; masking the modified electronic coin record by applying a homomorphic one-way function to the modified electronic coin record in order to obtain a masked modified electronic coin record; sending a registration request for the masked modified electronic coin data record to a monitoring entity. A currency system and a payment system includes a decentrally controlled database in which masked electronic coin data records are stored; and a direct transaction layer including at least two terminals in which the method can be carried out.
