Abstract
A belt strap (1) for a seat-belt system of a motor vehicle has a woven fabric (2) consisting of warp threads (3) running in a longitudinal direction (x) and weft threads (4) running in a transverse direction (y). The woven fabric (2) has at least two woven-fabric layers (5, 6), which are arranged over each other and which, in the transverse direction (y), each have at least approximately the same weave density. The at least two woven-fabric layers (5, 6) are interconnected in at least two outer regions (10) by means of a plurality of connecting warp threads (7) and, in at least one central region (11), are free of connecting warp threads (7) at least over part of the longitudinal direction (x), such that a hollow space (8) for insertion of an object (9) can be produced between the woven-fabric layers (5, 6).
