Abstract

A support stand for a portable aiming device having a first (12,13) and a second (14,15) pair of legs and a first (10) and a second (11) support member, wherein the first and second support members (10, 11) are configured to support a front part or rear part of said portable aiming device, respectively, and wherein each pair of legs has a left leg and a right leg, wherein a pivoting movement of one of the legs of the first pair of legs relative to a first hinge axis of a first hinge device (101) in a first direction causes the first hinge device to pivot the other leg of the first pair of legs relative to a second hinge axis of the first hinge device in a second, opposite direction.
