Abstract
[Problem] To provide technology that shortens cycle time while ensuring adequate moldability when molding fiber-reinforced resin. [Solution] A molding apparatus for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin material to be molded comprises a heating device, two molds in which corresponding depressions and protrusions are formed, and a pressing device with a ram for regulating the relative positional relationship of the two molds. The temperature of the two molds is set to be the melting point of the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin matrix material or less. The pressing device is configured so as to mold the material being molded by driving the ram to clamp the heated material being molded between the two molds. The ram is driven so that the velocity Vt is at least 100 mm/s at the time point when the ram arrives at a near-endpoint position, which is near the endpoint position P1 at which molding of the material being molded is complete and on the side towards the molding starting position Pf at which molding of the material being molded begins.

Abstract
This method forges a shaft member (13a) of a constant velocity universal joint (10, 20) having a plurality of expanded-diameter sections (61, 62) on a shaft part (60). In the method, on a shaped material (B') having the expanded-diameter section (61) which is one portion of the plurality of expanded-diameter sections (61, 62) and which is molded in advance, the remaining expanded-diameter section (62) is molded. The method is characterized by being provided with, as a mold for molding the remaining expanded-diameter section (62): a punch (81); a split die (83) that has a molding surface (83a) and accommodates the shaft part (60) and the expanded-diameter section (61) which is one portion of the shaped material (B"); and a workpiece receiving member (84) supporting the pressurizing force of the punch (81) and having disposed thereon the expanded-diameter section (61) which is the one portion of the shaped material (B"), wherein after disposing, on the workpiece receiving member (84), the shaped material (B") having the expanded-diameter section (61), which is the one portion molded thereon, the shaped material (B") is radially restrained by closing the split die (83), and, in this state, the shaped material (B") is caused to fill the molding surface (83a) of the split die by the pressurizing force of the punch (81), thereby molding the remaining expanded-diameter section (62).
