Abstract
is characterized by the fact thatis characterized by the fact that upper beams (3) are fastened by swivel-joint at the canopy ends (1.1.) of the side modules (1), which on the other side are also connected by the swivel-joint to the ver- tical rear links (4) with their other end also connected by a swivel joint with the short bases (5) fastened by a swivel-joint with their other end to the base ends (1.2), of the side modules (1). At the end of the canopy (2.1) of the central module (2), a segmented caving shield 6 is mounted, having a main shield (6.1) on one side, connected by a swivel-joint to the canopy (2.1) of the central module (2) and connected by a swivel-joint on the other side to the main shield (6.1), an inclinable shield (6.2) and a sliding shield (6.3.) built inside the inclinable shield (6.2). The main guard (6.1.) is supported by connected to it by a swivel - joint hydraulic cylinders (7), fastened with the other side by swivel-joint to the transverse beam (8) connecting bases (2.2.) of the central module (2). The main shield (6.1.) is also connected by a swivel joint with the tilt hydraulic cylinders (9) with its other end connected by a swivel joint with an inclina- ble shield (6.2). The inclinable shield (6.2.) near its axis of rotation is con- nected by a swivel joint with hydraulic cylinders of the extension (10), the other end of which is connected by a swivel joint to the end part of the sliding shield (6.3).

Abstract
The method for mounting a ranging arm on a body of a longwall shearer loader characterised by the fact that the shearer's ranging arm (7) is pivotally connected through the eyes (9) and at least one pin (3) with the eyes of the articulated joint (6) located from the side wall side in the bottom part of the shearer's body (5) outside of the chain conveyor (11). The axis of the pin or pins (3) is situated below the axis of the motor (12) of the shearer's ranging arm (7). The hydraulic cylinder (4) is pivotally connected with the eyes (8) of the shearer's ranging arm (7) located between the eyes of the articulated joint (6) with a pin (2), the axis of which is situated above the axis of the motor (12) of the shearer's arm (7). The hydraulic cylinder (4) is located between the axis of the feed drive shaft (10) and the pin of pins (3) connecting the shearer's ranging arm (7) with the eyes of the articulated joint (6).

Abstract
The drive transmission method used in the case of a longwall shearer loader is characterised by the fact that in the shearer body (1), from the side wall side, in the part located outside of the chain conveyor (2), there is an motor (3) and a transmission unit (4) propelling a drive shaft (6) located in the part of the shearer body (1) located above the armoured face conveyor (2). The shaft transmits the power to the drive wheel (10) installed in the shearer body (1) from the caving side, outside of the chute of the chain conveyor (2), and moving along the ladder (11).
