A magazine for a non-lethal gas-operated pistoi that includes a top portion defining a cannister receptacle that receives a gas cannister, a regulator that regulates pressure into an enclosed cavity that acts as an accumulator for regulated pressurized gas, and a poppet valve that controls release of pressurized gas from the enclosed cavity, the poppet valve including a spring biasing the poppet valve in a normally closed position, a bottom portion detachably coupled to the top portion via a twist-lock structure of slots and tabs, a channel extending through the top and bottom portions to store the plurality of non-lethal rounds, and a foliower and a follower spring in the channel that biases the follower and rounds toward the top portion.
