Abstract

The invention relates to a method for generating an image for a display system on a transparent projection support. The method aims to remove the negative effects of the double image formed by reflection on the outer surface of the projection support that is superimposed on the main image formed by reflection on the inner surface of said support. The screen on which the image that is projected onto the projection support is generated is cut into a set of parallel cell strips. The cells of the screen are configured such that all of the cells of a strip are turned off for one out of every two strips. The width of a strip is predetermined so that the double image of a strip that is not turned off is contiguous with the main image of said strip. The double image and the main image of the generated image complement each other to form a final image with good visual quality.
