The present disclosure further provides a crystalline Form I of nicotinic acid riboside triacetate (NARTA) according to a formula (X), that may be prepared by a similar method.

METHOD FOR INDUCING UDP-GLUCURONOSYLTRANSFERASE ACTIVITY USING PTEROSTILBENE
A method is provided for treating an individual for a cellular proliferative disorder, including administering to the individual in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of the compound pterostilbene wherein UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) activity is increased. In an embodiment, 12-HETE levels can be reduced by administration of pterostilbene.
A pharmaceutical composition is provided comprising a therapeutically effective amount of pterostilbene, a therapeutically effective amount of curcumin, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The embodiments of the pharmaceutical compositions can have lipid lowering properties, or alternatively can have properties that can treat oxidative stress, by decreasing inflammation or inflammatory processes contributing to digestive disorders or cancer.
