A process for producing a high-purity bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3)-based semiconductor material is disclosed. Abstract

A method of preparing a carbon based additive material is disclosed. Abstract

A method of preparing a metal-doped carbon-based anode material is disclosed. The method comprises: (a) carbonisation (thermal treatment) of a carbon residue generated from pyrolysis of Plastics and Tyre Waste (PTW) to produce a carbonized material; and (b) chemically pre- treating the carbonized material by elemental doping of a carbon matrix of the carbonized material to produce a metal-doped hard carbon (MDHC) anode material. Electrochemical testing of the MDHC anode conducted under galvanostatic control and the discharge/charge results show that the prepared MDHC anode can achieve a high energy storage capacity with improved capacity retention.
