The present invention recognizes the need for an apparatus and method for creating carbonated beverages having a customizable carbonation level. The invention uses a CPU to control an inlet valve which connects a tank of pressurized carbon dioxide to a vessel containing the beverage to be carbonized. The tube connecting the tank of pressurized carbon dioxide to the vessel contains an orifice for reducing the carbon dioxide's flow rate, thereby increasing control over the amount of carbon dioxide introduced to the vessel. A motor agitates the vessel, causing the carbon dioxide to become absorbed in the beverage. Then, an outlet valve causes excess pressure to drain from the vessel. An outlet orifice causes the pressure to release gradually, thus preventing the beverage from foaming.
The invention relates to a valve dispensing system that can be used in a beverage dispenser. In particular, the valve dispensing system has individual valve module components that control the flow of a beverage or beverage component, and a plurality of valve module components may be combined to form a system capable of dispensing a plurality of beverages and/or beverage components.

A beverage dispenser that uses a slurry ice bath to achieve heat transfer from coils containing a beverage. The invention provides a hopper into which a slurry ice bath is created. The hopper receives ice from an ice bin via an ice chute. The ice bin contains a rotating agitator for pushing ice down the ice bin. Coils containing a beverage to be dispensed are submersed in the slurry ice bath. Ice passing through the ice chute and into the hopper floats to the surface of the water in the hopper. As the agitator rotates, it continues to push ice down the ice chute, which in turn raises the water level of the water in the hopper. The water level then reaches an equilibrium level, where the buoyant force of the ice in the water will prevent additional ice from falling through the ice chute.

The seal includes a labyrinth preventing contact of a liquid within the pressure vessel with the cap during a carbonation process. A locking mechanism removably locks the cap and seal and antifoam device relative to the pressure vessel.
A batch carbonation apparatus includes a housing defining a vessel cavity. The housing includes an agitation mechanism. The pressure vessel includes a cap that has a C02 inlet and a C02 outlet is provided. The pressure vessel also includes a seal. The pressure vessel is moveable into an out of the vessel cavity. A locking mechanism is provided and is attached to the agitation mechanism to removably lock the cap and seal relative to the pressure vessel. A C02 source is connected to a plurality of valves where each valve has a differing pressure. A selection toggle is attached to the housing.
One embodiment of the storage and beverage dispense apparatus of the present invention includes a housing containing pumps (for example, for pressurizing water and syrup), a cooling and refrigeration system, and a syrup storage (commonly referred to as a Bag-in-Box or BIB system) in a single housing unit. The housing can be integral, or it may consist of modular components. Further the storage and beverage dispense apparatus of the present invention includes packaging these components in a housing, the need for a back room package is eliminated, thereby saving space and reducing the cost of plumbing. Moreover, the proximity of the pumps to the valves eliminates the pressure drop that can occur in long fluid lines.

Abstract
A device for carbonating beverages includes a gas supply compartment in pneumatic communication with a gas supply conduit and a container coupled to the gas supply compartment. The container has an opening. A gasket is coupled to the opening of the container and the gas supply compartment. The gasket has an opening through which gas flows from the gas supply compartment to the container.
An ice dispensing system includes an ice hopper structure including a plurality of walls having inner surfaces that define an inner volume storing ice therein. The ice hopper may include a drain. A cleaning structure is coupled to the ice hopper structure. The cleaning structure includes a pump linked to a spray mechanism positioned within the inner volume of the ice hopper structure. The spray mechanism disperses a liquid on an inner surface of the ice hopper structure during a cleaning cycle of the ice dispensing mechanism.
An electronic device security system allows an authorized user to quickly remove an electronic device from an advertising display. The electronic device security system includes a plurality of retention tabs to secure the tablet computer and an electronic lock and motor to raise a tablet lift pad to release the device.

A powered security display device displays items in the retail environment. The display device is configured to removably attach to an item while simultaneously providing power to the device and including an alarm such that if the item is removed without authorization, the alarm is activated.
An extendable/retractable ladder assembly includes a first stile and a second stile and a plurality of rungs extending therebetween. Each stile may comprise a plurality of columns disposed in a nested arrangement for relative axial movement in a telescopic fashion. A connector assembly connects the rungs to respective columns in the first and second stiles. The ladder has improved manufacturability since connector assemblies may be assembled before connecting the rungs to respective columns. The standing surface of the rungs may be angled such that it is rotated towards horizontal when the ladder assembly is leaned against a wall. A latch assembly may be used to selectively lock relative axial movement between adjacent columns. The latch assembly includes a locking pin assembly comprised of a central post and an outer metal sleeve. An air damper may also be used to control airflow through the columns.
