Abstract

A storage system includes at least one upright rail having a front side with notches formed along a length thereof, the upright rail is attachable to an upright support surface and a bracket is attachable to the upright rail. The bracket includes a mounting plate and a plurality of hooks extending therefrom which are received in a corresponding notch. The mounting plate has at least one mounting slot formed therein. The bracket includes a web connected to the mounting plate and a support flange is connected to the web, which extends along a depth of the upright rail so that the support flange abuts the upright support surface. A subassembly is mounted to the bracket via a fastener received in the mounting slot. The mounting slot permits adjustability of a position of the fastener to customize a transverse position of the subassembly with respect to the upright rail.

Abstract

In an exemplary embodiment, a hang rod bracket may include a tab along an upper portion of the hang rod bracket. A shelf bracket may include a resiliently flexible tang along a lower portion of the shelf bracket. The resiliently flexible tang may be resiliently movable in a first direction when impinged by the tab of the hang rod bracket, such as during installation of the hang rod bracket onto the shelf bracket. The resiliently flexible tang may be resiliently movable in a second, opposite direction when the tab is not impinging the resiliently flexible tang, such as after the hang rod bracket has been fully installed onto the shelf bracket and the tab has been rearwardly moved beyond the resiliently flexible tang. The resiliently flexible tang may engage the tab to inhibit forward movement of the hang rod bracket along the shelf bracket.

Abstract

A track assembly for a shelving system is disclosed that includes at least two tracks. The tracks are configured to slide relative to each other in an overlapping manner. Each track has one or more fastener holes along a longitudinal length of the track and one or more portions protruding outwardly from the track. The one or more protruding portions defining one or more recessed portions on an opposite side of the track, such that at least one protruding portion of one track is configured to be slidably engageable within at least one recessed portion of the other track when the corresponding overlapping fastener holes are aligned. The slidable engagement of the one or more protruding portions of one track within the one or more recessed portions of the other track may thus indicate that the tracks have been slidably positioned relative to each other with their overlapping fastener holes aligned.

Abstract

A shelving system is disclosed that includes two tracks and a standard. The standard has an end portion slidably receivable within an opening one of the tracks, such that the position of the standard relative to the track is slidably adjustable along that track. The rearward portion of each track defines a recess. An elongate member is slidably receivable within the recesses of the tracks such that each track is slidable along the elongate member, whereby the slidable engagement of the elongate member within the recesses of the tracks aligns the tracks and allows slidable adjustment of the relative positioning of the tracks to each other.

Abstract

Various aspects of the invention provide various embodiments of attachment members, hooks, hanger components, mounting systems and related methods. In one exemplary embodiment, a system generally includes a wall standard, a hanger component or component having at least two spaced-apart bar portions, and an attachment member engagable to the wall standard. The attachment member includes first and second recessed portions configured for trapping the corresponding spaced-apart bar portions between the wall standard and the attachment member when the attachment member is engaged to the wall standard. With this trapping, the attachment member can thus retain the hanger component to the wall standard.

Abstract

Various aspects of the invention provide handles that can be attached to wire-like members. In one exemplary embodiment, a handle generally includes a handle portion, a retaining member, and a key member. The handle portion has a channel and an aperture extending from at least one outer surface of the handle portion into the channel. The channel is configured to receive at least a portion of a wire-like member therein. The retaining member is configured to be received within the channel. The retaining member has an aperture. The key member is configured to be engaged within the handle portion's aperture and the retaining member's aperture. Engagement of the key member within the retaining member's aperture can inhibit the egress of the retaining member from the channel to operatively trap at least a portion of a wire-like member within the channel, and, thereby, attach the handle portion to the wire-like member.
