Abstract

A cable management system includes a cover (26, 302, 402) adapted to attach to a wall. The cover has a first end (22) and a second end (24). The first end of the cover has receptacles (44) for electrical power and audio/video signals. A combination of the electrical cord (34) and AV cables (38, 202) may extend from the second end of cover. The electrical cord extending from the second end has an electrical plug (36) to couple to an electrical outlet; and the AV cables extending from the second end of the cover has signal plugs (40, 204) adapted to couple to their respective AV components such as a cable box, DVD player, and the like. The electrical cord and the AV cables may be substantially flat to minimize the overall height of the cover.

Abstract

A motorized mount system includes first (106, 1006) and second (108, 1008) mount brackets, where one or both of the mount brackets is motorized (215, 301, 517, 1100) to pivot a monitor (104). The motorized bracket includes a motorized actuator system that releaseably engages with the monitor. The actuator system includes a moving block (226, 306, 526, 1 1 12) that releaseably pushes the monitor to tilt up, and uses the weight of the monitor to tilt down the monitor. The monitor can be separated with the moving block so that if a foreign object gets between the bottom end of the monitor and the wall, the foreign object needs to counteract the weight of the monitor but not the force due to the motor.

Abstract

A mount system for a monitor extends and retracts the monitor. The mount system includes a first arm pivotably coupled to a second arm so that that the monitor extends and retracts in a substantially straight line. One or more motors may be incorporated into the mount system to adjust the viewing angle of the monitor through a remote control.

Abstract

A motorized mount (100) attaches a monitor (204) to a wall (200) and is able is able to reposition the viewing angle of a monitor (200) through motorized action. The motorized mount (100) can extend the monitor (204) and then swivel and/or tilt the monitor (204).

Abstract

A motorized mounting system includes a plurality of actuators that extend the distal ends of the plurality of actuators in a substantially horizontal manner. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators are adapted to couple to the backside of the monitor. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators define a plane such that extending or retracting at least one of the distal ends adjust the orientation of the plane relative to the reference plane, thereby adjusting the viewing angle of the monitor. The motorized mounting system can be controlled with a remote control.
