The present invention is related to a method for producing a mica paper honeycomb comprising the steps of: i. providing sheets of partially cured impregnated mica paper (2); ii. gluing the said sheets (2) along periodic parallel lines (3) for forming an unexpanded, partially cured mica paper honeycomb (1); iii. expanding the said unexpanded partially cured mica paper honeycomb (1) to obtain an expanded partially cured mica paper honeycomb (4); cure the expanded partially cured mica paper honeycomb (4) to obtain a mica paper honeycomb.
