Abstract

A system for monitoring conveyor belts includes an emitter, a sensor and electronic circuitry. The emitter is configured to emit light at the surface of a conveyor belt. The sensor is configured to measure the light reflected from the belt surface. The circuitry is configured to identify a defect in or on the surface of the belt based on the light received from the sensor, and determine the source or cause of the observed surface defect. Machine learning including data from outside sources may be used in the root cause analysis.

The present invention is concerned with belts and comprising an upper thermoplastic elastomer layer, a composite reinforcing fabric and a lower thermoplastic elastomer layer, wherein the fabric is positioned between the upper and lower elastomer layers and comprises polyolefin yarns. In the composite fabric, the yarns in the length direction are essentially straight and have a tensile strength which is at least 10% higher that the tensile strength in the width direction to provide an optimal balance of strength in the length direction and costs. In addition, since the belt is prepared at least predominantly for thermoplastic material, the belt can be molten as a whole for simplified recycling. The present invention is further concerned with fabrics for use in such belts, and processes for the recycling of such belts and the refabrication of belts from the generated recyclate.

Abstract

The present invention discloses a PVC dense layer composition, a PVC foamed layer composition and a PVC glue layer composition used for preparing artificial leather, and a PVC artificial leather prepared therefrom. Through the addition of a molecular sieve adsorbent with a specific pore size and a specific silica-alumina ratio to the skin layer, foamed layer and glue layer, the present invention effectively reduces the odour and VOC emissions of the PVC artificial leather, thus achieving an unexpected technical effect.

Abstract

The invention relates to removable seat covers, in particular for vehicle seats, comprising a two-dimensional cover and a zipper fastening, wherein at least 90 wt.% of the two-dimensional cover and the non-movable parts of the zipper fastening is made of the same base material. By virtue of using the same base material to produce the majority of the parts of the seat cover, the seat cover can be reintroduced into the production process without any difficulty without requiring an earlier necessary decomposition or separation of material. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing corresponding seat covers, to seats with such seat covers, and to methods for recycling corresponding used and waste seat covers.

The catalyst system is characterised by low toxicity and very low reactivity in processing conditions, but can be activated by an increase in temperature, such that the most thoroughly reacted polyurethanes can be formed in a short time. The present invention also relates to methods for producing such polyurethane layers, polyurethane layers produced from the reactive compounds, and composite structures containing such polyurethane layers. The present invention further relates to the use of the specified catalyst system for reacting polyols and polyisocyanates.

The present invention relates to a process for producing an elastomer material having electrical contacting points which is filled with at least one conductivity additive, comprising (a) providing an elastomer material filled with at least one conductivity additive, (b) selecting contacting points provided for a contacting on the surface of the elastomer material filled with at least one conductivity additive, (c) treating the contacting points provided for a contacting on the surface of the elastomer material filled with at least one conductivity additive with a dispersion which comprises at least one carbon-based conductivity additive in an amount of at least 20% by weight based on the solids content of the total dispersion, (d) drying or allowing to dry the elastomer material treated with a dispersion and (e) vulcanizing the elastomer material treated with a dispersion if the elastomer material employed in step (a) is an unvulcanized elastomer material. The present invention further relates to an elastomer material having electrical contacting points which is filled with at least one conductivity additive, to a process for improving the electrical contacting of an elastomer material filled with at least one conductivity additive, and to the use of a dispersion for improving the electrical conductivity of an elastomer material filled with at least one conductivity additive.
