Abstract

In a method for removing a wrapping, such as plastic film, from a roll of material an apparatus is used, which has a roll supporting unit, and a cutting means. Abstract

A core end piece collector for handling cut off end pieces during processing of tubular cores with a hollow centre portion includes a carrying member. At least a portion of the carrying member is configured to be arranged inside of a core during cutting of the core. The collector further includes a catcher being arranged on the carrying member, said catcher protruding from the carrying member at an angle in relation to the longitudinal direction of said carrying member such that the catcher is insertable into a cut in the core.
