Abstract
A machine for bending sheet metal provides at least one sheet metal resting tool, at least one sheet metal pressing tool, and at least one sheet metal bending tool, parallel to one another; for moving the tools along a first and a second axis perpendicular to one another at least two electric motors are provided for moving the sheet metal pressing tool along the second axis, at least two electric motors for moving the sheet metal bending tool along the first axis and at least two electric motors for moving the sheet metal bending tool along the second axis; a command and control unit connected to the electric motors commands and controls the driving of the electric motors to maintain the parallelism between the tools in the operating step. In this manner, using hydraulic drives is avoided.

Abstract
A system is provided for tightening tie rods of a press formed by a base with a supporting plane, a head, a framework consisting of at least one pair of columns that connect the head to the supporting base, a tool or mould-holding ram driven with reciprocating motion to and from the supporting plane, at least one tie rod (19) received inside a respective column to join the base, the head and the column, in which the ends of each tie rod (19) are threaded and one of the ends is at the base whereas the other is at the head; the system for tightening provides that on the two ends of the tie rod (19) two respective internally threaded toothed wheels (21) are screwed, one of which acts on the base and the other acts on the head to fix the various parts together, and that there is at least one mechanical device (24) for reducing the operating force, which is drivable manually from the exterior and suitable for coupling with the toothed wheel (21) to tighten the tie rod (19). This system for tightening does not increase overall dimensions and is cheap.

Abstract
A sheet- metal punching machine (10) provides a punching unit (11) having a slide (15) that is movable along an axis (X), on which are mounted a series of punches, a corresponding series of dies, and a series of actuators (20); each punch is driven by a respective actuator (20) and is drivable singly or jointly with other punches. The machine further provides a positioning unit (12) that is able to remove and move the sheet metal along an axis (Y) that is perpendicular to the axis (X) along which the slide (15) moves and able to rotate the sheet metal, to take the sheet metal to the correct position at the punches and the respective dies. A simple and compact punching machine is thus obtained, that enables single punching or simultaneous multiple punching to be carried out, and enables the sheet metal to be positioned correctly with a low risk of damage to the sheet metal.
