Because the needle tips do not come out of the tube in a conventional BCG vaccine tube needle, strength and technique were necessary and it was difficult to easily, evenly and reliably insert needles and perform a vaccination, which resulted in the problems that it was not possible to achieve the sufficient number of needle marks that shows the inoculation effect and that the child being vaccinated experienced pain and distress. These problems are solved by adopting a microneedle patch case of a thermoplastic plastic as the BCG vaccination tube needle, and setting the needle length to 0.2-1.0 mm.

The cosmetic gel sheet of the present invention contains carboxy group-containing water-soluble polymer, polyalcohol, and acid as essential constituent components. Carboxy group-containing polysaccharide can be suitably used as the carboxy group-containing water-soluble polymer. Water content in the gel sheet is 30% by weight, but it is more preferable if the water content is 10% by weight or less. In the cosmetic gel sheet of the present invention, the gel sheet can be manufactured by drying an aqueous solution containing carboxy group-containing water-soluble polymer, polyalcohol, and acid as essential components. Wherein, it is desirable that content of the acid in the aqueous solution is adjusted to a value appropriate for setting pH of the aqueous solution to 2.0-4.0.

Provided are: a microneedle having excellent performance; and a method for producing the microneedle. A microneedle array which is produced using polyglycolic acid as a material, wherein the degree of crystallinity of polyglycolic acid is 21% or more, and the rate of shrinkage of a tip part of the microneedle array is 99% or more as measured in the axis direction; and a method for producing a microneedle array in which the degree of crystallinity of polyglycolic acid is 21% or more and the rate of shrinkage of a tip part of the microneedle array is 99% or more as measured in the axis direction, said method comprising carrying out the ejection molding of polyglycolic acid at a cylinder temperature of 230 to 280ºC, a mold temperature of 60 to 130ºC and an ejection pressure of 1000 to 1500 KPa.
Provided is a depilatory tape which can be adhered in intimate contact to a region of the skin to be depilated, and with which depilation is possible simply by peeling, without causing pain or injury to the skin. This depilatory tape 1 is characterized by comprising a water vapor-impermeable or relatively impermeable support 2, and a mixture 3 of a depilatory agent and an adhesive base, retained on the support 2, the depilatory agent being composed of thioglycolic acid or a salt thereof, and the adhesive base being composed of a water-soluble polymer and a polyhydric alcohol, the polyhydric alcohol content being 150-500 mass parts to 100 mass parts of the water-soluble polymer.
Provided is a urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesive having improved pressure-sensitive adhesive properties, while maintaining the gentleness to the skin of urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesives. This urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains as essential ingredients a urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, a curing agent, and a hydrophilic plasticizer. The hydrophilic plasticizer is a hydrophilic, high-boiling liquid that is compatible with urethane and produces a plasticizing effect, and is preferably one having one or more hydroxyl groups or oxyethylene groups, or both, in the molecule. The solid fraction composition ratios of the urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesive, the curing agent, and the hydrophilic plasticizer are 0.5-15 mass parts of the curing agent and 10-80 mass parts of the hydrophilic plasticizer, to 100 mass parts of the urethane-based pressure-sensitive adhesive.
The present invention provides a drug-holding microneedle array in which a drug is applied and held only on a tip portion of microneedles for quantitatively holding the drug and for preventing the drug from falling away during insertion of the microneedles.
The drug-holding microneedle array comprises: a microneedle array having a microneedle substrate 4 and microneedles, the microneedles being positioned in plural on the microneedle substrate 4 and a tip portion 1 of the microneedles projecting via steps 2 and a drug held on the tip portion of the microneedles and the steps 2.
Provided is a microneedle patch which is easily to be applied on a skin surface. One or more holes are provided inside a protective sheet of the microneedle patch, and one or more cutting lines running from an outer edge of the protective sheet toward the holes are also provided. The cutting lines may be symmetrically arranged on both sides of the hole. Providing an incision on the outer edge of the cutting lines of the protective release sheet facilitates cutting along the cutting lines. In the use of the microneedle patch, both sides of the cutting line of the protective release sheet are held and torn so as to bring out a microneedle array adhesive sheet and apply it on a skin. Then the microneedle array surface is slightly compressed, thereby the microneedle is inserted into the stratum corneum.
