Abstract
In order to produce a can body (27) having a can jacket (19) extending around a can axis in the circumferential direction, which can jacket is closed in the circumferential direction by means of an adhesive connection between contact areas (18, 18') of an overlapping region (20), a strip material (1) having the flat material regions for the can jackets (19) is guided through a printing device (2) in the longitudinal direction of the strip material and is continually printed with decorative areas (17), wherein first contact areas (18) are provided respectively next to the decorative areas (17). The flat material regions for the can jackets (19), each having a decorative area (17) and the adjacent first contact area (18), are separated from the printed strip material (1) and shaped into can jackets (19).

Abstract
The invention relates to a can lid (2) comprising a lid surface (3), a connecting area (4, 4') extending along the circumference of the lid surface (3) for connecting the can lid (2) to a can jacket (5), a can opening (6) that is formed on the lid surface (3) and that can be pressed in, and a pressing lever (9) that is fastened to the lid surface (3) at a fastening location (8). The pressing lever (9) lies in an starting position at the lid surface (3) before the pressing lever is operated and has a liquid-permeable lever opening (11), wherein the can opening (6) that can be pressed in is opened by an opening pivoting motion of the pressing lever (9) about a pivot axis (10) at the fastening location (8). The pressing lever (9) has a connection region (12), which at least partially encloses the lever opening (11) and which engages in the pressed-in can opening (6) at least along a sub-region of the edge of said pressed-in can opening (6) when the can lid (2) is in a emptying-ready state, so that liquid also flows through the lever opening (11) when dispensed through the can opening (6) in order to achieve a better controlled outflow.

Abstract
A metal strip should be directly printed for the production of cans. Another embodiment provides for the formation of an inner coating closed in the circumferential direction, after the formation of the laser seam on the tubularly shaped metal strip and before the separation of individual can shells. A further development relates to the use of at least one digital printing system. All solutions are based on the knowledge that slower and faster processing steps can be combined, wherein however linear inline production must then be dispensed with and, for example, fast processing steps are performed in a single line and slow processing steps are performed in parallel lines, or simultaneously at a plurality of processing stations. The metal web of a coil can also be divided into sub-webs by means of at least one longitudinal cut before further processing. By means of the novel solutions, various decoration and inner-coating desires can be fulfilled with little effort.

Abstract
A can (1), comprising a can jacket (3) that is closed around a can axis (2) and a can lid (4) that is fastened thereto in a connecting area (5, 19, 20), on which can lid an opening (6) that can be pressed in is formed and a pressing lever (7) is fastened at a fastening point (9), has an annular area (10) in the can lid (4) that protrudes from the can (1) in the direction of the can axis (2), said annular area having an outer end surface (10a), and a recess (11) inside said protruding annular area (10). The opening (6) that can be pressed in can be opened by an opening pivoting motion of the pressing lever (7) about a pivot axis at the fastening point (9). When the can (1) is in the ready-for-opening state, the pressing lever (7) extends radially in the recess (11) away from the can axis (2) to the protruding annular area (10) of the can lid (4), and an outer end (7a) of the pressing lever (7) touches the outer end surface (10a) of the protruding annular area (10) without engaging so that the pressing lever (7) can be pressed away from the can lid (4) at the outer end (7a) of the pressing lever by means of a finger moved from radially outside against the protruding annular area (10) in order to open the can (1).

Abstract
When severing pipe sections (5) from a pipe (4) that is continuously produced, a closed separating line (16) is formed around the section axis (15) along the pipe circumference, said axis being disposed by a section length from the free pipe end. In order to sever a pipe section (5), a laser beam (17) generated by a laser scanning device (18) is deflected along the entire circumference of the pipe (4) being produced to the separating line, always transversely to the section axis (15), such that a substantially focused contact region of the laser beam (17a) on the pipe (4) being produced is guided completely along the closed separating line (16) and, in the process, the pipe section (5) is severed from the pipe (4) being produced.

Abstract
On a can body (1), comprising a can casing (3), which is closed around the can axis and comprises a metal layer, and a closure part (13, 33, 56), which comprises a metal layer, a laser connection is produced between the metal layers of the can casing (3) and the closure part (13, 33, 56) in an overlapping region of the closure part (13, 33, 56) and the can casing (3). The laser connection comprises a plurality of perforations along the connecting line, or a plurality of narrowly delimited regions, in which the two metal layers are melted together. A plastic material (3b, 7a, 13d, 15, 54, 58) is arranged on the laser connection. The laser connection ensures stability, and the plastic material (3b, 7a, 13d, 15, 54, 58) ensures leak tightness, of the connection between the can casing (3) and closure part (13, 33, 56).
