Abstract
A method for producing a fibre composite cylindrical tank for containing a fluid, includes assembling a reusable and removable tool kit; applying an end fitting to the tool kit, the end fitting having an opening large enough for removing the tool kit there through after being disassembled; forming a barrier layer by swaddling the assembled tool kit with a breather piece; forming a first shell layer by winding a first composite tape, made of a first composite material mixing fibre and resin, over the barrier layer, and disassembling and removing the tool kit through the opening.

The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a leak-tight vessel comprising a cylindrical mantle and two dome-shaped endings (3) for the storage of a gas and/or a liquid. The method comprises providing an inner barrier layer comprising a heat-sealable thermoplastic material and an outer shell layer comprising a fiber-reinforced heat-sealable thermoplastic material, as well as an end-fitting. Further, the method comprises providing an inner layer by winding a heat-sealable thermoplastic filament material and forming an outer layer in two steps: first providing around the mantle of the vessel a fabric of a fiber-reinforced heat-sealable material, whereby the width of the fabric diminishes with successive windings of the fabric around the mantle, followed by winding a fiber-reinforced heat-sealable plastic film over the fabric around the mantle and the dome-shaped endings (3). Hereupon the materials so provided are consolidated so a to form one rigid structure.

The present invention describes a method for producing a leak-tight vessel for holding a gas and/or liquid, comprising the steps of winding a heat-sealable thermoplastic barrier strip around a removable mandrel in such a way that each strip fragment overlaps with a substantially parallel strip fragment over at least a lateral overlapping distance, consolidating the overlapping strip fragments so as to form a gas and/or liquid tight layer, winding a fibrous material around the gas and/or liquid tight layer, thereby leaving an opening large enough for removing the mandrel. The invention also describes a leak-tight vessel produced in this way.

The invention relates to an expansion tank with corresponding bladder. The bladder is flexible and pouch-like, is connected to a closing member for an air tight sealing to the expansion tank, and comprises inside a pipe, connected to at least one end of the bladder and the closing member. The expansion tank is made out of plastic. The compressed gas is in the bladder and the liquid is in the spacing between the bladder and the inside of the expansion tank. The expansion tank has an opening at its upper side, sealed by a closing member, that is sufficiently large to remove and reinstall the bladder and corresponding pipe easily in, resp. out of the expansion tank.

The present invention relates to a method for the manufacture of pressure-resistant gas and/or liquid tight containers made from thermoplastic materials. To this end the method comprises the following steps : providing a removable external mandrel around a neckpiece, followed by providing at the inside of such mandrel a thermoplastic material for the manufacture of a thermoplastic internal wall. Hereupon the external mandrel is removed and the thermoplastic internal wall is filled with a cooling liquid. Hereupon additional thermoplastic material is provided to the external side of the thermoplastic wall and is consolidated either during the provision hereof, or thereafter or both. Hereupon the cooling liquid is removed and the container is ready for being used.
