The invention relates to a heat-curable composition containing at least one heat-curable resin or resin system that includes as an additive at least one block copolymer including a block A' containing a polydiene consisting of non-hydrogenated polybutadiene and/or polyisoprene, said block A' being free of polar monomers, and from 1 to 3 blocks B' containing polylactone, wherein said copolymer in said heat-curable composition has an average mass in numbers of said copolymer lower than 50000 and an average mass in numbers of said block A' of between 500 and 10000 and a global weight ratio of said copolymer, as defined relative to the total weight of said resin or resin system with said additive, selected in a range of between 2 to 30% so that the weight ratio of block B' relative to the total weight is in a range of between 2.5 to 10 % when Tg is lower than 30°C, and in a range of between 3 to 7% when Tg is at least equal to 130°C. The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion of a polymer, including polymer particles having a core/skin structure, that can be obtained by the emulsion polymerisation of at least two monomer compositions 1 and 2 in at least two steps, said at least two monomer compositions 1 and 2 yielding polymers P1 and P2 having respective glass-transition temperatures Tg1 and Tg2, with Tg1 being lower than or equal to 30°C and Tg2 being higher than or equal to 80°C, the difference Tg2-Tg1 ranging from 50 to 200°C, wherein said polymerisation is carried out in the presence of at least one anionic phosphated surfactant that is present: a) either in the P1 polymer phase only; or b) in the P1 and P2 polymer phases provided that the weight ratio (anionic phosphated surfactant in P1/ anionic phosphated surfactant in P2) is higher than 1, the weight ratio of said anionic phosphated surfactant ranging from 0.5 t 5 wt %, preferably from 0.5 to 3 wt % and more preferably from 1 to 3 wt % relative to the total weight of the monomers in the dispersion, said phase P1 representing a ratio from 70 to 90 wt % of the total of P1+P2, and P2 representing a ratio from 10 to 30 wt % of the total of P1+P2. A coating composition is produced by forming an aqueous dispersion of a crosslinking agent and a resin that comprises the reaction product of an alkyd polymer, an optional surfalkyd, diacetone acrylamide, another acrylate monomer and optionally aromatic monomers wherein the reaction product is neutralized with either ammonia or an amine. A coating of the aqueous dispersion on wood exhibits at least some of the following desired properties: rapid dry time, good tannin blocking, good resistance to picking up dirt, good hot box stability and good exterior durability. Additionally, the inventive coatings appear to provide improved crosslinking compared to coatings comprising resins not neutralized with an amine or ammonia and/or not containing a surfalkyd.
