Abstract

A damping mechanism comprises: a housing body (1) defining a cavity (10) having a central axis, the cavity (10) comprises a threaded section (18) disposed with female threads revolving about the central axis and a smooth section (19); a rotating shaft (12) inserted into the cavity (10); and a piston (4), wherein the piston (4) comprises a threaded section (47) disposed with male threads(46) revolving about the central axis and a piston head (48). The threaded section (18) of the cavity (10) and the threaded section (47) of the piston (4) constitute a screw-on fit relationship between the female and male threads, the piston (4) can slide on the rotating shaft (12) along the central axis, the piston head (48) is clearance-fitted or seal-fitted with the smooth section (19) of the cavity (10), an axial hole section (42) of the piston (4) is clearance-fitted or seal-fitted with the rotating shaft (12), thereby dividing the cavity (10) along the central axial direction into a first sub cavity (13) containing the threaded section (18) of the cavity (10) and a second sub cavity (14) axially opposite to the first sub cavity (13).
