A moulded product especially suitable as an armrest for a chair exhibits a smooth and wear resistant outer surface and a compressible supporting body portion. The product includes a supporting frame member and the supporting body portion is formed from a gel-like microcellular polyurethane foamable material which encapsulates the frame member. The outer surface is formed from a polyurethane elastomer material having a thickness in the range of about 0.5 mm to 0.9 mm, the polyurethane elastomer material and the gel-like foamable material being bonded together to form an integral body for the product. The invention contemplates apparatus and a method for producing the product.

The invention provides lidstock for a blister package or a planar member secured to or closing a bag, wherein the blister package or the bag contains an article having a contoured working surface. At least one edge of the lidstock or planar member is die cut to a profile corresponding directly to the profile of the contoured surface of the article. The profiled edge can be placed against the profiled edge of a workpiece, such as molding, with which the article is to be used to ensure that the article is properly adapted for use with the particular workpiece. The advantages of the invention could also be obtained with a hang tag for use with an article having a contoured surface, with at least one edge of the hang tag being die cut to the profile of the contoured article. The article can be a foam device for applying a liquid finishing product to the profiled workpiece.
