Abstract

Disclosed is an elastic polyurethane yarn which can exhibit excellent heat resistance even when an unsaturated fatty acid or a heavy metal is attached to the yarn during dyeing at a high temperature, and which has high elastic recovery and high strength/elongation. Specifically disclosed is an elastic yarn comprising a polyurethane mainly composed of a polymer diol and a diisocyanate, which contains (a) a hindered phenol compound, (b) an N,N-dialkylsemicarbazide compound and (c) a nitrogenated aromatic compound, wherein the nitrogenated aromatic compound (c) is contained in an amount of 0.01 to 0.30 wt% inclusive.

Abstract

It is intended to provide a predyeing treatment method whereby dyeing failures such the formation of as white (undyed) spots, unevenness and white streaks (lines or dots) can be prevented in dyeing a polyamide fiber-containing fabric. It is also intended to provide a predyeing treatment method and a dyeing method wherein thread cutting and heat degradation of a polyurethane-based elastic fiber can be prevented in dyeing a polyurethane-based elastic fiber-containing fabric. A predyeing treatment method, by which the above objects can be established, characterized by comprising, in dyeing a fabric containing at least one of a polyamide fiber and a polyurethane-based elastic fiber, adding a thiourea compound to at least one of the polyamide fiber and the polyurethane-based elastic fiber before dyeing, and then subjecting the fabric to a dry heat treatment; and a method of dyeing a fabric characterized by comprising, in dyeing the above-described fabric, conducting the predyeing treatment method as described above followed by dyeing.

Abstract

Disclosed is an elastic polyurethane yarn having excellent elongation degree, recovering property, heat resistance and chemical resistance and suitable for a stretch cloth or garment. Also disclosed is a process for production of the yarn. The elastic yarn comprises a polyurethane mainly composed of a polymer diol and diisocyanate and contains a compound having an interatomic bond between a phosphorus and a nitrogen in the molecule. The elastic polyurethane yarn can be produced by adding a compound having an interatomic bond between a phosphorus and a nitrogen in the molecule to a solution of the polyurethane and then spinning the mixture into a yarn.

Abstract

A method and a device for applying an adhesive agent to an elastic string-like material capable of performing continuous application operation without stopping the application operation by automatically jumping the knot of the elastic string-like material from a running line for the material at a slit groove in a coater applying head. The knot of the elastic string-like material running on the coater applying head is detected, and based on the detection of the knot, the knot is raised from the original running line so that it can pass while avoiding the slit groove. After the knot avoids the slit groove, it is returned to the original running line and runs continuously. The device comprises a detection means for the knot of the elastic string-like material in running and a jump guide means for passing the knot while avoiding the slit groove in the coater applying head.
