Abstract

Systems, methods, and devices disclosed herein include a packaging system having a plurality of discrete interlockable units formed of a packaging material. Individual interlockable units of the plurality of discrete interlockable units have a same shape as each other, the same shape including mating protrusions and mating recesses shaped as inverses of the mating protrusions, such that the plurality of discrete interlockable units form a repeating tessellation pattern resembling a jigsaw puzzle. The plurality of discrete interlockable units form one or more customizable packaging layers that are reconfigurable by removing and/or replacing individual interlockable units of the plurality of discrete interlockable units. Furthermore, the system includes a receptacle for receiving the customizable packaging layer(s). The receptacle can be a container including a bottom base movably coupled to a lid to define an interior space, with the customizable packaging layer(s) disposed in the interior space of the container.

Abstract

A cargo support includes: a tray; tray rails fastened to the tray and extending longitudinally and parallel to each other; and a base frame that includes base rails that extend longitudinally and parallel to each other. The rails are slidable relative to one another for sliding the tray longitudinally relative to the base frame in an expansion direction transitioning the cargo support from a retracted state of the cargo support to expanded states, and in a retraction direction transitioning the cargo support from the expanded states to the retracted state. The tray has a handle at a tailgate end including a control of a latch for locking in one of the states. Rollers supporting the tray rails have differently sized grooves. Different pairs of bores at different coordinates are provided for variable installation heights of the rollers. A stiffener is used for cargo supports rated for having higher weight ratings.

Abstract

An apparatus includes a base defining a cavity; a lid coupled to the base and movable to close the cavity or open the cavity; and a latch able to be transitioned between a latched position and an unlatched position. The latch includes a handle pivotable between the latched position and the unlatched position; a guide member pivotably coupled to the handle, the guide member including a cam path; and a latching member pivotably coupled to the handle, the latching member including a cam disposed within the cam path. The cam path is structured such that, when the latch is in the unlatched position, the cam is disposed at a position in the cam path such that the latch is maintained in the unlatched position absent a force applied to the latch.

Abstract

An apparatus is provided that includes a base defining a cavity; a lid coupled to the base; a latch; and a resilient member. The lid is pivotable between a first state in which the cavity is enclosed and a second state in which the cavity is exposed. The latch includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. Each of the second and third portions interact with the base when the lid is in the first position so as to discourage the lid from transitioning to the second state. The resilient member is disposed between the latch and the lid such that moving the first portion of the latch so as to compress the resilient member moves each of the second and third portions of the latch away from the base.

Abstract

A device for a slidable assembly may include a support channel, defined by first, second, and third support sides and including a primary support bearing and a tertiary support bearing, and a slide channel, defined by first, second, and third slide sides and including a primary slide bearing and a tertiary slide bearing. In an assembled state, the slide channel may fit around the support channel such that the primary support bearing contacts the first slide side and the primary slide bearing contacts the first support side such that the first slide channel is configured to slide longitudinally with respect to the first support channel, and the tertiary support bearing contacts the first slide channel and the tertiary slide bearing contacts the first support channel to restrict lateral transition of the first slide channel with respect to the first support channel.

Abstract

A slidable conveying assembly may include a latch frame and a latch rod rotatably engaged with, and extending at least partially through the latch frame. The latch rod may include a latch paddle at a first end. The assembly may also include a notch frame configured to slidably engage with the latch frame and a notched bar that may extend at least partially through the front notch frame and that may include multiple notches. The assembly may also include a biasing mechanism operably coupled to the latch frame and the latch rod and configured to bias the latch paddle into the multiple notches such that the latch paddle is biased into removable engagement with the multiple notches as the latch frame slides along the notch frame.
