Abstract

The invention concerns a furnace for the heat treatment of a multiplicity of items. The furnace comprises a supporting framework (10), which is formed as a three-dimensional frame, an elongated heating chamber (12), which is arranged vertically or horizontally in a central region of the supporting framework (10), and a plurality of elongated combustion chambers (14), which are arranged vertically or horizontally within the supporting framework (10). The furnace also comprises a heating element (28), which is assigned to the heating chamber (12), and at least one blower (24) for producing an air stream from the heating chamber (12) to the combustion chambers (14). The combustion chambers (14) are intended for receiving the items to be treated. The supporting framework (10) is intended for supporting the heating chamber (12) and the combustion chambers (14). The invention also concerns a furnace installation with a multiplicity of such furnaces.
