Abstract

Disclosed is a method for cutting a quartz glass product using a laser without contact and a device thereof. The method specifically is: burning the quartz glass product being with a laser beam emitted by a laser generator to form a broken pipe groove, and then cut the quartz glass product with a pneumatic device. A device for cutting a quartz glass product provided by the present invention comprises an automatic laser cutting device and a pneumatic device. The laser cutting method and device provided by the present invention can ensure the product quality, decrease breaks, ensure the consistency between a cutting nozzle and a stick cross section, reduce wastes, and make operations safer. The laser cuts a quartz glass pipe or quartz glass stick without contact, which can improve the pipe and stick pulling speed, decrease the production cost, reduce labor intensity of workers, and improve the yield.
