Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for transilluminating a film by way of a light source from which a light beam is emitted, which can be used for transilluminating the film, a film guide, which can be used to guide the film such that the light beam is able to transilluminate a section of the film, a film infeed, which can be used to feed the film to the film guide, and a film outfeed, which can be used to remove the film from the film guide, wherein the film guide has a support which is designed so as to rotate about a rotation axis running through the center of the support, and which has a circumferential surface designed in a rotationally symmetric manner with respect to the rotation axis, wherein the film can be supported on the circumferential surface at least with part of the width thereof over a section of the circumferential surface, and wherein the light source is arranged such that the light beam generated by the light source penetrates the film if the film is supported on the circumferential surface at least with part of the width thereof over a section of the circumferential surface.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for transilluminating a film, having a light outlet from which a light beam with which the film can be transilluminated exits, a transillumination region through which the film can be guided such that the light beam can transilluminate the film in the transillumination region, a film infeed by which the film can be fed to the transillumination region and a film outfeed by which the film is removed from the transillumination region, a hollow chamber, the inner surface of which is designed in a diffusely reflecting manner and comprises a light inlet opening and an outlet opening, and a light source, from which light exits and enters the hollow chamber through the light inlet opening, and a beam guide having a beam inlet end and a beam outlet end, wherein the beam inlet end is arranged such that light exiting from the outlet opening of the hollow chamber at least partially enters through the beam inlet end into the beam guide.
