Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel large-scale synthesis method for cynandione A, and has been completed by identifying that cynandione A can be synthesized on the gram-scale in merely two steps through continuous oxidation/regioselective arylation between 2,5-dihydroxyacetophenone and 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone. That is, the synthesis method of the present invention comprises steps that are simpler and shorter than those of a conventional technique, and thus can be applied to mass synthesis of cynandione A through optimization. Particularly, it has been identified that the present invention can obtain high-purity cynandione A in a high yield even if column chromatography purification, which is difficult to be applied to mass synthesis, is performed only once. Therefore, the present invention enables large-scale synthesis of cynandione A, which is very efficient in terms of cost and time, and thus the present invention is expected to be effectively used as a synthesis method for preparing cynandione a, in various industries, medical and research fields and the like.
