Abstract
Provided is a fishing reel spool that has a line knot hider. The spool for a fishing reel includes a knot hider for hiding a knot of a fishing line inside the surface of a winding part such that a line is uniformly wound on the winding section without a knot exposed outside the surface of the winding section, thereby not interfering with thumbing in casting and enabling even a beginner to easily connect and use a fishing line without connecting a fishing line to a spool using a complicated knotting manner. The spool for a fishing ring includes a drum-shaped winding part mounted on a reel body by a shaft and configured to wind a fishing line on an outer surface thereof, and a knot hider configured to hide a knot of the fishing line inside a surface of the winding part.

Abstract
Provided are a spool braking device and a fishing reel equipped with the spool braking device. In the spool braking device, a magnet holder with a magnet moves toward an axial direction of a spool using eddy current and thus controls a rotational speed of the spool through a varying magnetic force acting on a braking plate of the spool. The spool braking device is capable of preventing a decrease in a distance a lure travels during casting when the spool is rotated at a low speed and preventing a backlash phenomenon through a braking operation suitable for high-speed rotation of the spool.

Abstract
Provided is a drag release system of a reel, that system adjusting drag by rotation of a spool on the reel, more particularly, a drag release system that immediately adjusts drag of a spool to prevent cutting of a fishing line by immediately decreasing the drag of the spool when strong tension is applied to the spool during fishing, by forming a fitting hole perpendicular to the axis of a cylindrical driving shaft and forming slits at a sleeve fitted on the driving shaft to have a predetermined length in the longitudinal direction of the driving shaft and to correspond to the fitting hole so that a fixing pin fitted in the fitting hole through the slits prevents the sleeve from idling on the driving shaft and guides the sleeve when the drag is adjusted.

Abstract
Provided is a bait casting reel including braking magnets that provide braking force against rotation of a spool using magnetic force to prevent backlash of the spool in casting. The bait casting reel allows a user to minimally space a spool and an anti-backlash unit to set the maximum braking force of a braking magnet by bringing the spool and the anti-backlasher in contact with each other when a braking dial for moving the anti-backlasher left and right in the longitudinal direction of the spool is turned to the maximum, in order to prevent the braking magnet from being worn or damaged by coming in contact with the spool due to deformation of the rotary shaft of the spool or a friction washer and to allow the user to freely and easily adjust the braking force of the braking magnet without replacing a part.

Abstract
A fishing reel having a drag assembly. The drag assembly brakes the unwinding rotation of a spool to prevent a fishing line from being excessively rapidly unwound from the spool and thus from being snapped when the fishing line is drawn out by a hooked fish. The drag assembly includes a washer retainer coupled to a drive gear, and a washer group having a brake washer. Therefore, there is no need for the drive gear to have a shape corresponding to the washer group, whereby the manufacturing process can be facilitated, the time it takes to manufacture the fishing reel can be reduced, and the production cost can also be reduced.

Abstract
Disclosed herein is a fishing reel having a hybrid clutch. The clutch controls rotation of a spool such that when casting a fishing line, the rotation of the spool is not restricted, and only when a handle is rotated to reel in the fishing line is the rotation of the spool restricted so that the spool can be rotated only in the direction in which the fishing line is reeled in. For this, the fishing reel includes: an integrated clutch unit including a clutch link coupled to the clutch bar, and a clutch cam connected to the clutch link and rotated around a shaft of the spool; and a ratchet pawl coupled to the clutch cam by a hinge and selectively coming into contact with a ratchet provided on a rotating shaft of the handle depending on rotation of the clutch cam, thus controlling the rotation of the spool.

Abstract
Provided is a fishing reel having reliability in opening a side cover. The fishing reel is configured such that when the side cover opens, the side cover hangs from the reel body rather than being completely separated from the reel body, so that the user can easily open the side cover even when standing on uneven terrain such as on the rocks of a seashore. The fishing reel has a pillar structure which can conduct a first-extraction and second rotation operation such that even when the reel is designed in such a way that an end of the spool shaft necessarily protrudes out of the reel body, a rotating and opening operation of a cover assembly including the spool cover and the side cover is prevented from be impeded by the shaft, whereby even when in an extreme fishing environment, reliability in opening the side cover can be ensured.

Abstract
A fishing reel having a side cover that can be opened and closed in order to attach and detach a spool or the like. The fishing reel having the quick-opening side cover can be operated with one hand, in which a quick-opening system is employed such that a fisher can open the side cover by moving a lock by manipulating it with one hand. A grip of the lock can stay in the protruded state when the side cover is opened such that the fisher can close the side cover surely and securely, thereby preventing the side cover from being opened during fishing.

Abstract
The present invention provides a clutch of a bait reel for fishing which controls rotation of a spool such that only when the handle is rotated to reel in a fishing line can one-way rotation of the spool be restricted. The clutch includes a ratchet wheel which is coupled to a rotating shaft of a handle, and a ratchet pawl which is provided in a reel frame. The ratchet pawl is removably locked to gear teeth of the ratchet wheel to control the rotation of the spool. A separate contact piece made of rigid material is coupled to a contact end of the ratchet pawl. Therefore, the contact piece directly receives a load and frictional resistance occurring when the gear teeth of the ratchet wheel presses the ratchet pawl. Thus, the ratchet pawl which is made of comparatively soft material to facilitate the operation of forming the ratchet pawl can be prevented from being easily damaged.

Abstract
Provided a side cover detachable apparatus of a dual bearing reel for fishing. The apparatus includes a boss, a rod, and a spring. The boss is provided within a side cover, has a stop hole at a center, and has a slope surface around a front end. The rod moves to the left/right with passing through a reel frame and the side cover, and is selectively inserted into the stop hole of the boss. The spring is fitted around the rod and elastically supports left/right movement of the rod.
