A marker ensemble includes a multi-purpose marking tool and a sharpener. The marking tool has a shell, retention sleeve, compression spring, control tab, reversible disk holder, and cap. The shell has an exit opening, an access opening with a mounting socket, and a medially located lateral control slot through which the control tab extends. The retention sleeve has a collet, compressed by the compression spring and uncompressed by the control tab. The disk holder has a body with a retention ridge and a pair of lugs extending from each end to retain a marking disk. One marking disk has a circular periphery and the other marking disk has a toothed periphery. The cap is mounted upon either end. A dual blade retractable tool is provided. The tool has a round tubular housing and a one-piece injection molded slide block structure. The housing has a longitudinally extending control slot and two ends with blade extension openings, one major and one minor. The one-piece structure has a major blade and a minor blade, each carried by a support. Each blade projects through the corresponding blade extension opening. One support is attached to a leaf spring cantilevered at the other end. The spring carries a control button, which projects through and moves within the slot, and a locking pin, which extends beyond the spring perpendicular to the control slot. Depressions in the tube engage and dis-engage with the locking pin as the button is pressed and moved.
A thread conditioner dispenser is provided as well as a method of conditioning thread. The dispenser has a base with two longitudinally extending sidewalls attached which are joined by two transverse sidewalls. A receptacle for thread conditioning compound is defined interior thereto. Notches are formed in each transverse sidewall. The point on each notch closest to the base defines a saddle point. An adhesive layer is attached to the base such that the dispenser may be removably attached to a solid surface. Thread may be passed through one of the notches and withdrawn through the opposed notch.
A bead manipulating tongs is provided. The tongs have a pair of elongated polymeric clenching arms, a polymeric clamp being formed on the interior surface of at least one of the elongated clenching arms, and a bead manipulating tool grasped by the polymeric clamp. The elongated clenching arms have a generally U-shaped profile with the open portion of the U of each arm facing the other, the uprights of the U on each arm forming a generally perimetral wall about a portion thereof. An interruption is formed in the perimetral wall of the elongated clenching arm proximate the polymeric clamp. The head of the bead manipulating tool is congruent to the interruption in the perimetral wall of the elongated clenching arm. A spring positioned between the elongated clenching arms urges one end of each of the elongated clenching arms into engagement with an end of the other elongated clenching arm.
A dispenser for elastomeric monofilament is provided. The dispenser has a hollow lower half hingedly joined to a mating hollow upper half. Each half has a peripheral wall with vertically extending sidewalls defining an interior and an exterior to the dispenser. A pair of hubs is formed in the sidewalls of one of the halves and a reel is rotably disposed between the hubs. The reel has elastomeric monofilament therearound. A passage from the interior to the exterior of the dispenser is formed at a junction between the halves by a channel formed in each half having a sinuous path through the peripheral wall thereof. The channels are configured such that a sinuous passage is formed from the interior of the dispenser to the exterior of the dispenser by the juxtaposition of the channels when the halves are joined to each other.

A handheld loop former for beading wire is provided. The loop former comprises a cutting lever, a slotted forming platform, a forming lever, and two scissors links. The cutting lever has a combination shear blade/forming die at its distal end. The slotted forming platform has a medially located slot, a shearing ledger, and a forming stanchion. The forming lever has a second forming die at its distal end. The cutting lever, forming platform at the medially located slot, and forming lever are journaled together with a pivot pin. Each of the forming lever and the cutting lever is journaled to one of the scissors links. Both scissors links are journaled to the forming platform. The sheer blade/forming die passes closely to the shearing ledger and with the second forming die envelops the forming stanchion when the forming lever and cutting lever are urged together. The forming platform is drawn proximally.
A dual blade retractable seam ripper is provided. The seam ripper has a generally cylindrical tube and a unitary injection molded slide block structure. The tube has a control slot and two capped ends with blade extension openings, one major and one minor. The unitary structure has a major seam ripping blade and a minor seam ripping blade, each carried by a support. Each blade projects through the corresponding cap opening. One support is attached to a leaf spring cantilevered at the other end. The spring carries a control button which projects through and moves within the slot and a locking pin which extends beyond the spring. Depressions in the tube engage and dis-engage with the locking pin as the button moves and is pressed.

A thread conditioner dispenser is provided as well as a method of conditioning thread. The dispenser has a storage and dispensing unit and a cap unit. The storage/dispensing unit has multiple resilient plinths and a generally planar base defining a cavity. Notches are defined between the plinths. Multiple linear channels are defined in the base. One channel connects each notch with a diametrically opposed notch. The plinths define a cylindrical sidewall. The cap has a cylindrical sidewall defining an outwardly flaring mouth to engage the plinths. One of the cap inner sidewall and the storage/dispensing sidewall has an annular recess. At least one lug is formed into the other sidewall for engagement with the annular recess. Thread may be passed through one of the notches and into one of the channels and withdrawn through the diametrically opposed notch while the cap sidewall is engaged with the storage and dispensing sidewall.
A support fixture is provided for holding chain to facilitate addition of pendants thereto. The fixture comprises a polymeric base and a pair of inter-nesting uprights pivotably mounted therein at opposed ends of the base. The uprights can be stably disposed in either an upright usage configuration or a nested horizontal configuration. The base has an upper surface with a generally planar periphery and a major centrally located recess formed therein. The upper extremity of each upright is provided with a retention pin and a padded clamp. Each clamp is formed from a “7” shaped portion and an inverted “L”-shaped arm pivotably joined thereto, with horizontal portions of the “L” shaped arm and the “7” shaped portion defining the jaws of the clamp. A resilient spring is disposed between a vertical leg of the “7” shaped portion and a vertical leg of the inverted “L” shaped arm.
A tool is provided for bending wire for use in earrings. The tool has a two handles; an anvil plate; two terraced floating bars; two forming links, each having a stanchion projecting therefrom and a forming link rod projecting from the first forming link; an upper and lower linkage arm; a translating pin; and a planetary gear having an eccentric forming rod projecting from its lower face. The anvil plate has a longitudinal slot and arcuate minor and major forming slots formed therethrough; a circumferential gear formed on one side of the anvil plate, adjacent and exterior to the major forming slot, spanning less than 360°; and a retaining wall and a forming anvil formed on the other side of the anvil plate. The handles are pivotally joined to the anvil plate such that the forming link rod and a stanchion engage a wire lying against the retaining wall.

Beading pliers, having a pair of engageable jaws pivotable about a journal cylinder, are provided with handles. Each handle has an outwardly curving handle core surrounded by a silicone gel filled retention tube encompassed by a cover tube comprising silicone rubber having a thickness of between about 3 and about 7 mm, the end of each pliable cover tube spaced from the journal being closed.
