The present invention relates to an aqueous thermosetting urethane compound for coating yarn, and a method for preparing a coated yarn coated with the same, wherein the compound for coating yarn comprises an aqueous thermosetting urethane resin, has pores, and comprises 100 parts by weight of the aqueous thermosetting urethane resin, 1.5-2.5 parts by weight of a thickener and 6-12 parts by weight of a processing lubricant. Particularly, the subject matter is: an aqueous thermosetting urethane compound for coating yarn, enabling the formation of pores by using a foam mixer or a chemical foaming agent; and a preparation method in which the surface of yarn is coated with the aqueous thermosetting urethane compound for coating yarn.
