Abstract

Lock for the transfer of parcels and franking device comprising a chamber (20), a front face (21) having a parcel entrance opening equipped with a front closing element (27), and a rear face (22) having an exit opening (26) equipped with a rear closing element (28). The front and rear closing elements are connected by a mechanical connection (38) so as to position the rear element in a closed position when the front element is open, and vice versa. The lock also comprises a barrier member (41) that is movable between a stable retracted position and a barrier position in which it blocks the entrance opening. The barrier member and front element (41, 27) comprise a catch device (47) designed to connect them together when the front element (27) is closed, keep them together during an opening movement, and disconnect them when the front element comes close to its open position so that the barrier member returns automatically to its retracted position.
