Abstract

A corner gutter guard has a front profile for coupling to a front edge of a gutter at an inner corner and a screen portion extending rearward of the front profile. The end sections of the screen portion extend proud of the ends of the front profile. The screen is formed with at least one continuous ridge extending from a left ridge end portion adjacent the left end section to a right ridge end portion adjacent the right end section. The corner gutter guard can be kitted with an angle strip member that couples to a fascia board to support the rear edge margin of the corner gutter guard below roofing shingles. A straight gutter guard can be formed with a lengthwise ridge for overlapping and nesting with the continuous ridge of the corner gutter guard.

Abstract

A gutter guard for installation on a gutter system supported by gutter hangers has a rear profile to engage the gutter system to support the gutter guard so that at least the rear section of the screen portion is spaced apart above a central section of the gutter hanger. The rear profile includes an up leg extending upward and a down leg extending downward in relation to the rear section of the screen portion. The rear leg has a bottom edge configured for engaging the gutter hangers such that the down leg supports the rear profile on the gutter hangers. The rear profile can further include a vertical bracing lip above the rear section of the screen portion for face-to-face contact with the fascia. Abstract

A gutter protection system is adapted for covering a gutter and preventing debris from falling into the gutter. The gutter protection system comprises an elongate sheet metal member or panel adapted to engage a portion of the gutter and to cover the gutter. The sheet metal member has a longitudinal axis and a generally smooth top surface interrupted by a plurality of canals and perforations formed therein. Each canal extends down and away from the smooth top surface. The canals are formed from the material of the sheet metal member, each canal formed so that water entering the canal exits through one of the perforations and flows into the gutter below. The canals enable water to move laterally within the canal, thereby increasing the water volume handled by the system without necessarily increasing the number of holes or perforations.
