A material web (8) can be fed through the gap, wherein the tool roll (2) and the mating roll (4) are rotatably mounted at the ends in a support frame (14). Even during an ongoing production process, an adaptation of the width of the cutting and/or embossing gap to changing boundary conditions or specifications of the production processes is to be made possible in a simple way. For this purpose, according to the invention an electrically controlled positioning element (22) is associated with at least one of the rolls in the region of the two bearings. The distance of the rotational axis (26, 28) of said roll to the rotational axis (26, 28) of the other roll can be changed via said positioning element. The electrically controlled positioning element is a piezoelectric actuator.

Abstract

An apparatus is described for spatially orienting blanks having a length which is measured in the transport direction, which apparatus has at least one stop roll body (3a), which can rotate about an axis and has at least one stop element (7a), and a driver transport device for driving the blanks relative to the stop roll body, wherein at least one driver roller (5), by means of which the blanks can be pressed against the driver transport device, and at least one roll body roller (8a), by means of which the blanks can be pressed against the stop roll body, are provided, and wherein the roll body roller is prestressed in contact with the stop roll body. This apparatus is to be developed in such a way that no vacuum is required and at the same time the probability of a malfunction in the form of a blank jam and the probability of sliding tracks or the like on the blanks are minimized. In order to achieve this object, it is proposed to configure the driver transport device as a transport belt device which has at least one endlessly circulating transport belt (6), and to mount the driver roller in such a way that the path spacing between the roll body roller and the driver roller can be set to the length of the blanks which are to be oriented.

Abstract

A device for cutting out flat material blanks from flat material sheets is described which has a cutting roll and a mating roll interacting with the cutting roll, the cutting roll and the mating roll forming a roll gap into which the flat material sheets can be inserted for cutting out the flat material blanks, wherein a residual material is produced. This device is to be developed in such a way that, firstly, it involves the lowest possible outlay in terms of equipment and, secondly, it is not restricted in its application to flat material sheets having a certain minimum length. To achieve this object, it is proposed to design both the cutting roll and the mating roll in each case as a suction roll having a lateral surface which has a multiplicity of suction air openings, wherein the suction air is admitted to the cutting roll and the mating roll in such a way that, directly after the cutting-out, the flat material blanks can be transported further on the lateral surface of the cutting or mating roll and the residual material can be transported further on the lateral surface of the mating or cutting roll.
